The Eastern Bloc was an alliance of communist cities and nations on Civcraft 2.0.

History

The events leading up to the idea of the Eastern Bloc our confidential, however the basis of the union was negotiated by Sandfalls and Geckos017.

Purpose

The Eastern Bloc provides military and political defense to members, as well as EB expeditionary forces in the case of an offensive war. Trade and intelligence networks were also created, but are still in the beginning phases.

Organization

This is a unique example of a government that functions causally. Heads of state belonging to the union are "pretty chill" and "sense the vibes." It's a "government by feels." (Note this may be the Puff talking)

Representation

Each Member and Observer State of the Eastern Bloc are represented by their Council member, typically the head of State or a Foreign Minister.

These Council members elect the Chairman every two months. The Chair represents the Bloc in Foreign Affairs.

Conflicts

Current Status

The Eastern Bloc still exists as an organisation, but many member states have fallen to inactivity or have left. The largest remaining member is FSR.
