From the Featured Article Entrana's wheat fields along with a view of their town. The Entranan Republic was a nation on CivClassic 2.0 that intended to be a successor city to Pacem. Founders of the country travelled to the southeastern quadrant of the server for more populous players in summer 2018, constructing a German-like government. Consisting of mainly oak and stone structures in European styles, the country eventually took shape around Freelands, another country in the region which merged later on. Entrana had built considerable relationships with other nations, formalizing an embassy row and completing a long sought-after rail connection to The Commonwealth via the Entranan Transcontinental Express, and built a modest XP and brewing economy revolving around agriculture. The founders of the nation eventually moved back to Pacem in the later part of CivClassic. The territory eventually became owned by Cortesia Del Mar in the server’s later years. (Full article...) Current Events Fempire's rainbow bridge, along with several landmarks of the country in the background. A conflict occurred between PhysicsGamer and SlothInASuit over trespassing and raiding within the Temporal Empire, and a bounty was placed on Sloth, along with a large argument on Reddit. This later boiled over into a bounty hunt as Sloth and Jarlatos entered Estalian territory, with Jarl being pearled prior to entering Exyria while Sloth escaped in the Imperial Federation. Pavia reformed itself into a democracy, with CedarValiant initially winning the office of Prime Minister but eventually resigned and was assigned to Cissonius. A leak on how to make various drugs via Brewery leaked on Reddit, resulting in an in-game conflict between Exyria and Heikki. Icenia is celebrating Jah Day with a get-together and a small PvP tournament on June 18. The ASN formally announced Baile's and Vinland's membership into the alliance. What is Civ? Civ is a genre of minecraft servers in which players, not admins, create and enforce rules. It differs from anarchy servers in that players are given extensive tools to help protect themselves and imprison players. We document these servers, the mechanics that drive them, and the rise and fall of their players and civilizations.
