Ascentius was a Civ-like server that launched on the 9th of October, 2021.[1] It has it's own independent wiki. It had an open beta that ran 4 weeks from September 4th to October 2nd, 2021.[2] It was considerably different from most civ servers, incorporating rpg mechanics as well as a Towny claim system, but does have jukes, namelayer, citadel, factories and a jailing system (but no prison pearl). After a dwindling player count following its controversy, Ascentius shut down on January 19, 2022.[3]
