JuniorTide reported and provided a screenshot of one of his Acadian homes sporting signs on the front such as "NORTH KOREA BEST KOREA" and other kinds of left-leaning statements. At some point a new user joined CivClassics named Pentigrass, he was invited by Rain and was new to the Civ genre. It's claimed he was told multiple times to treat people kindly and to not raid or steal anything along his journey to TNSC land. Despite these alleged warnings he started to break into things until he was caught and pearled in [[Icenia]].

Frustrated with himself and being pearled, he claimed that Rain ordered him to raid and steal to support TNSC, believing that if he blamed Rain it would give him a "lighter sentence". This idea of Rain being a nefarious untrustworthy malicious raider was further propagandized when another member of TNSC who was new to Civ, [[hawkeye0066]], against TNSC warnings decided to start raiding and stealing things in Acadia just like Pentigrass. He was caught, and was told by TNSC to return what he stole and turn himself in, which he did. This situation was almost immediately resolved with hawkeye being quickly released after his apology and return of items. In fact people in Acadia offered him a house and citizenship.
===Rain's Mining Trip===
On July 27th, 2021 Rain was mining for ore underground at bedrock level when he stumbled across mines that other players had already dug out. However, the users seemed to only be interested in diamonds because they had left all other ores - iron, redstone, lapis - ores which TNSC required. While mining along these pathways he came across an underground bunker, walking around inspecting it to find a sign of ownership until [[Egi]] logged on. Egi seemed concerned at first, but seemed more peaceful as he reminded Rain that he was in Acadia territory, demanding that he leave and mine elsewhere, orders which Rain followed.

The TNSC-Acadia Conflict was a conflict or war, or series of hostile events, between [[The No State Commune]] (TNSC), later renamed ''Consortium'', and [[Acadia]] on [[CivClassic]], largely centered around [[RainOfPain125]], often known as ''Rainie''. The conflict took place within TNSC, in the deep [[+,- (CivClassic 2.0)|+,- quadrant]] of CivClassic. The TNSC-Acadia conflict is generally divided into two crises seperating the events of late July 2021 and late September 2021. Additionally, a separate incident between TNSC and a group of three individuals from [[Yoahtl]] and [[Icenia (CivClassic 2.0)|Icenia]] is generally seen as part of the TNSC-Acadia Conflict as it took place right after one of the main events of the conflict and initially caused significant confusion. The TNSC-Acadia conflict ended with the effective defeat and demise of Consortium/TNSC.
By July 28th, 2021 when Rain logged in he found that TNSC's only bunker was robbed. The snitch logs implied Acadia was responsible, members of the raiding party consisted of [[JuniorTide]] (Citizen of Acadia & Icenia), [[Egi]] (Acadian Minister of "Defense"), and [[Polygondwana]] (Poly is probably an alt). The three man raiding party destroyed the bunker and stole the stockpiled gear. The raiding party received little to no consequences as a result of raiding the newfriend bunker, never being held accountable for their toxic actions. On the same day that the raid was revealed to the international community, a vote was held in Acadia against Egi for "Impeachment of Egi as Minister of Defense due to unauthorized use of force against TNSC". Rain was accused of running around near the Acadian bunkers to try and bust open a vault and free someone's pearl. Acadia claims{{Citation needed}} to have learned that TNSC possessed many hundreds of diamonds and many high-value tools just mere days after declaring The No State Commune, leading to concerns that they were being supplied by a possible hostile sponsor. However in reality, the commune was gifted a box of goodies from Rain's good friend [[Avo]] as a sign of socialist solidarity and friendship, providing them all with good pickaxes for getting resources - hence why they had so many diamonds.

Firstly, Acadia accused TNSC of harbouring raiders and ill intent toward its neighbours following two incidents of petty raiding involving TNSC members. The first was Pentigrass, who was sentenced in Icenia, and falsely claimed that Rainie had encouraged him and other TNSC members to raid neigbouring nations in the hope for a reduced sentence.<ref>Pentigrass/Rainie Discord DM's: [https://i.imgur.com/dBoiE77.png link] (imgur of Discord messages)</ref> The second was [[Hawkeye0066]], who was pearled and declared guilty for petty raiding in Acadia as well as illegally placing snitches in the Acadian capital New Turing. Hawkeye was almost immediately released after an apology and return of stolen items.

Later on, Rainie was intercepted by [[Egi]], Acadian Minister of Defense, while mining underneath Acadia, following the veins of mostly Acadian newfriends. Acadia accused Rainie of mining the diamond ores left behind by Acadian newfriends, although Rainie stated that he only mined the other ores (e.g. iron, redstone). During this mining trip Rainie broke a zombie-spawner, and came across the Acadian skybunker in construction. Separately, Rainie was also accused by Acadia of vandalism in the form of griefing JuniorTide's house with signs containing propaganda. No snitch-evidence was brought forward, and Rainie denied the accusation. After the aforementioned events/accusations, Acadia was alarmed by what they saw as a hostile neighbour. In addition, in the last two days before the first Acadia-TNSC Crisis, Acadia learned that TNSC had constructed a large bunker, and obtained a large number of diamonds and high-value tools mere days after the establishment of TNSC, which led to concerns in Acadia of a possible hostile sponsor behind TNSC. According to Rainie however, these were just gifts to TNSC from [[Avo]], a friend of Rainie, and there was no hostile sponsor. On July 28, the Acadian military elected for a pre-emptive strike against TNSC and Egi, JuniorTide, and [[Polygondwana]] (non-public alt-account) broke into the TNSC bunker, disabled it by placing reinforced obsidian, and took some of its contents. As TNSC made use of global chat and the subreddit for PR purposes and to appeal for help against Acadia, the matter attracted international attention. This attention brought a number of players unrelated to Acadia to TNSC that same day; [[TTastic]], [[Okx]], and [[MrJeremyFisher]], who were rumoured to be out for a supposed bounty on Rainie's pearl by [[MCSPenguin]] due to CivRealms drama. They only managed to temporarily logbox two other TNSC members, however, during their hunt more of the TNSC bunker’s contents were taken. The chaos of the day ended after [[Mir|Mirian]] [[Gregy165]] travelled to TNSC, effectively standing by as a peace force.
After announcing to the international community what Acadia had done, many TNSC members did not know what to do - whether they should quit the server or move far away from Acadia and so on. Though it didn't take long for others to take advantage of the demoralization of [[The No State Commune|TNSC]].


TNSC claimed a large amount of damage as a result of the operation/raidings from Acadia and the supposed bounty-hunters; a largely destroyed bunker, 200+ diamonds, 150+ essence, 10+ E4U3S/E4U3F3 pickaxes, as well as an unknown amount of farm disabling and surface terrain grief.<ref>TNSC statement on TNSC-Ac 1: [https://www.reddit.com/r/civclassics/comments/otfgf1/acadia_raids_the_nostate_commune_we_demand_all/ link] (reddit post)</ref> For most of the damage it is unknown however, whether it was Acadia or the alledged bounty hunters who were reponsible for it. Later in the same day, a raiding party sponsored by an unknown organization or nation attacked. At first [[Okx]] came to pearl Rain and Zombie, but the two of them fought hard enough to get him to retreat away from the bunker. [[Zombie_Striker]], Acadian Minister of Interior and friend of Rainie/TNSC, learned about Acadia's operation against TNSC afterwards and leaked some Acadian Senate chats and broke two diamond tool factories in response. Not long after, the full raiding party came consisting of [[TTastic]], [[Okx]] and MrJeremyFarmer with intent to pearl everyone as a result of recent events. Their mission failed as Zombie, Rain and other [[The No State Commune|TNSC]] members evaded any pearling attempts.

Due to Rain and Zombie's friendship, and Zombie being a member of Acadia, which made her the target of accusations of foreign collusion. Shortly after Acadia's raid on TNSC a user [[FE_Flags]] who ran the '''Workers of Acadia Party''' (WAP) accused Zombie, claiming that she created a big shadow scheme where Rain would recruit new commies into WAP in order to sway elections, and in return Rain would get diamonds. Rain claims there was no evidence to support that such a deal ever occurred, and Rain claims such a deal was never proposed.

==="Zombie sabotaged Acadia"===
A player in Acadia{{Who}} accused Zombie of breaking a factory after the raid on TNSC's bunker, claiming it must have been an act of sabotage but no hard evidence was provided. TNSC joked that the user should obby bomb Acadia, but of course she and the other members never intended on doing it.

A member of Acadia [[Bloof_]] would later go on to threaten Rain on CivMC, believing he had told Zombie to sabotage Acadia's diamond factory among other things.

As a result of these two raids,
*Zombie_Striker quietly left CivClassics to distance herself from the drama and the rumors made against her after the two raids.
*RainOfPain125 ran far away and logged off, only logging on once or twice before the server was closed.
*TNSC was renamed to Consortium to try and rebrand itself.
*Acadia, Icenia & Yoathyl never held any of the raiders Egi, JuniorTide, Polygondwana, Okx, TTastic, or MrJeremyFarmer accountable for their actions

For Acadia, the event caused confusion and left it unclear whether Rainie was still banned or not, whether he was potentially playing on alt-accounts or not, and to what extent Consortium had been honest with Acadia. In an attempt to remain on good terms with Acadia, Hawkeye falsely told Acadia that they had Rainie logboxed, and that Acadia did not need to worry about Rainie again. However, refusing to allow Rainie to remain unpearled, in a potential logbox that could be broken, Acadia demanded to know the location of the supposed logbox. Discussions around the supposed logbox proved difficult and Hawkeye ended up asking for several hundreds of diamonds in return for the location of the supposed logbox, which was denied by Acadia. After a couple days of negotiations, Acadia decided to go search for the logbox themselves as Egi, JuniorTide, and Ferro conducted a search through Consortium on September 23rd. During this search, several Consortium members were briefly pearled by Acadia, supposedly so that Acadia could continue the search. The search was unsuccessful, and another round of negotiations followed where eventually Hawkeye led Acadia to Rainie's supposed logbox. Acadia was shocked by the sudden, short reappearance of Rain, whose temporary ban had apparently been finished after one month. As Acadians never knew the length of the ban, they were surprised to see Rain back again so quickly. This stirred up problems with Acadia once more, as Acadia now believed that they were hiding Rain somewhere. Egi and Tuomasz came over to Consortium for a "diplomatic tour" and to discuss the situation and the relation between Acadia and Consortium going forward. Choosing to believe Hawkeye, Acadia asked Consortium for the location of the logbox, so that they would be able to pearl him if Rainie ever logged in on his main account again.


The Second TNSC-Acadia Crisis saw the involvement of the [[Plus-Minus Concordat|PMC]] alliance on Acadia's side, and with their help the logbox and the Consortium/TNSC bunker remains were guarded almost 24 hours a day for several days by mainly Ferro, [[Tuomas]]z, and PMC allies [[Asuramaru|Asu]] and [[Ch1pR]]. During these days, Consortium was effectively completely occupied, snitched, and considered a de facto 'soft' [[Exclusion Zone]] (EZ) by Acadia/PMC. Meanwhile, as Acadia considered it likely that Rainie was playing on alt-accounts, Acadia was searching for evidence against a few suspected accounts and one unsuccesful scheme was attempted to get one of them pearled. However, Rainie never logged in on CivClassic on his main account again, and neither did the suspected alt-accounts on Acadia's list, and the Second TNSC-Acadia Crisis gradually fizzled out as Acadia gradually reduced their efforts and activity in Consortium died out.
They told Acadia and other nations that they did not know where he logged, and yet those nations refused to believe it. In a final attempt to save themselves, the members bluffed, saying they know the coordinates where he had logged off and would only tell them if they were compensated and things remain peaceful.


== Aftermath ==
Negotiations proved fruitless for Acadia as they were not willing to pay, so they decided to go looking for the logbox in Consortium themselves. [[Egi]], [[Ferro]], and [[JuniorTide]] conducted a search for the logbox on September 23rd. During their "diplomatic tour" the Acadians briefly pearled all Consortium citizens so that they could "continue their search". The search was unsuccessful, and another round of negotiations followed where eventually Hawkeye led Acadia to Rainie's supposed logbox. The logbox was guarded almost 24 hours a day for several days by Ferro, [[Tuomas]]z, and PMC allies [[Asuramaru|Asu]] and [[Ch1pR]], but Rain never logged in on his main account again, nor would most Consortium members who by this time had grown fully inactive due to being chased off by Acadia.
Due to the occupation of their home, Rainie's inability to keep playing due to the occupation and Acadia's search, and general discontent with how their time on CivClassic turned out and what they saw as Acadian aggression or imperialism, Consortium grew fully inactive in the last few days of the Second TNSC-Acadia Crisis and effectively ceased to exist. Eventually, the nearby [[Kingdom of Fish]], supported by Acadia, ended up establishing a melon-colony in the Consortium jungle, after several failed attempts to establish contact with Consortium for negotiations.


The attention Rain's reappearance amassed on the server a discussion starting to appear around whether Rain's ban was sufficiently long enough given the seriousness of doxing. As per Rain's request{{Citation needed}}, the staff team published an official statement clarifying Rain didn't intend to dox or hurt anyone which is why, unlike most doxers, his ban was temporary.

Unfortunately, especially as far as public information goes, a lot of what exactly happened with Rain after the first TNSC crisis is shrouded in mystery.     The TNSC-Acadia Conflict was a conflict or war, or series of hostile events, between The No State Commune (TNSC), later renamed Consortium, and Acadia on CivClassic, largely centered around RainOfPain125, often known as Rainie. The conflict took place within TNSC, in the deep +,- quadrant of CivClassic. The TNSC-Acadia conflict is generally divided into two crises seperating the events of late July 2021 and late September 2021. Additionally, a separate incident between TNSC and a group of three individuals from Yoahtl and Icenia is generally seen as part of the TNSC-Acadia Conflict as it took place right after one of the main events of the conflict and initially caused significant confusion. The TNSC-Acadia conflict ended with the effective defeat and demise of Consortium/TNSC.

    Prior events

    Around mid-late July 2021, RainOfPain125 started playing on CivClassic, seeking to establish a successor to his previous nations of Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) and the Guthrie Commune on CivRealms and CivUniverse respectively. On July 22, he officially established The No State Commune (TNSC) with a group of newfriends and friends from previous servers.[1] They settled close to the north of Acadia, a mere 500 blocks away. An uncomfortable situation followed due to drama on previous servers between Rainie and several Acadians, most notably Cortwade and JuniorTide, whom TNSC considered to be 'violent anti-communists', as well as due Acadia having historical ties to Norlund, a nation Rainie was fornerly part of as the Paris Commune, which ended in civil conflict.[2] Both TNSC and Acadia initially meant to settle for an 'uncomfortable peace' or détente, although Rainie was declared Persona Non Grata (PNG) in Acadia on day one. However, the uncomfortable situation quickly deteriorated. In the days between July 22 and July 28, a number of events/accusations followed, leading up to the First TNSC-Acadia-Crisis.

    Firstly, Acadia accused TNSC of harbouring raiders and ill intent toward its neighbours following two incidents of petty raiding involving TNSC members. The first was Pentigrass, who was sentenced in Icenia, and falsely claimed that Rainie had encouraged him and other TNSC members to raid neigbouring nations in the hope for a reduced sentence.[3] The second was Hawkeye0066, who was pearled and declared guilty for petty raiding in Acadia as well as illegally placing snitches in the Acadian capital New Turing. Hawkeye was almost immediately released after an apology and return of stolen items.

    Later on, Rainie was intercepted by Egi, Acadian Minister of Defense, while mining underneath Acadia, following the veins of mostly Acadian newfriends. Acadia accused Rainie of mining the diamond ores left behind by Acadian newfriends, although Rainie stated that he only mined the other ores (e.g. iron, redstone). During this mining trip Rainie broke a zombie-spawner, and came across the Acadian skybunker in construction. Following Egi's request Rainie left Acadia.[4]

    Separately, Rainie was also accused by Acadia of vandalism in the form of griefing JuniorTide's house with signs containing propaganda. No snitch-evidence was brought forward, and Rainie denied the accusation. The signs contained texts such as '''North Korea Best Korea'', which was most likely meant as a joke. JuniorTide threatened to ‘glass’ Rainie, although the case remained unresolved.[5]

    The First TNSC-Acadia Crisis

    After the aforementioned events/accusations, Acadia was alarmed by what they saw as a hostile neighbour. In addition, in the last two days before the first Acadia-TNSC Crisis, Acadia learned that TNSC had constructed a large bunker, and obtained a large number of diamonds and high-value tools mere days after the establishment of TNSC, which led to concerns in Acadia of a possible hostile sponsor behind TNSC. According to Rainie however, these were just gifts to TNSC from Avo, a friend of Rainie, and there was no hostile sponsor. On July 28, the Acadian military elected for a pre-emptive strike against TNSC and Egi, JuniorTide, and Polygondwana (non-public alt-account) broke into the TNSC bunker, disabled it by placing reinforced obsidian, and took some of its contents. The operation led to a failed impeachment vote (1 out of 9 voted in favour) against Acadian Minister of Defense Egi, as the operation was carried out without authorization by the Acadian Prime Minister, Bloof.[6][7]

    As TNSC made use of global chat and the subreddit for PR purposes and to appeal for help against Acadia, the matter attracted international attention. This attention brought a number of players unrelated to Acadia to TNSC that same day; TTastic, Okx, and MrJeremyFisher, who were rumoured to be out for a supposed bounty on Rainie's pearl by MCSPenguin due to CivRealms drama. They only managed to temporarily logbox two other TNSC members, however, during their hunt more of the TNSC bunker’s contents were taken. The chaos of the day ended after Mirian Gregy165 travelled to TNSC, effectively standing by as a peace force.

    TNSC claimed a large amount of damage as a result of the operation/raidings from Acadia and the supposed bounty-hunters; a largely destroyed bunker, 200+ diamonds, 150+ essence, 10+ E4U3S/E4U3F3 pickaxes, as well as an unknown amount of farm disabling and surface terrain grief.[8] For most of the damage it is unknown however, whether it was Acadia or the alledged bounty hunters who were reponsible for it. TNSC never received compensation for these damages.

    Zombie_Striker, Acadian Minister of Interior and friend of Rainie/TNSC, learned about Acadia's operation against TNSC afterwards and leaked some Acadian Senate chats and broke two diamond tool factories in response. Soon after, she was accused by fellow WAP (Workers of Acadia Party) - member FE_Flags of collaborating in a scheme where they would fund Rainie with diamonds and in return Rainie would send people from his Anarcho-Communism Discord as newfriends to Acadia to sway Acadian elections in favour of the WAP.[9] Rainie denies ever have been part of such a scheme. Zombie_Striker ended up quitting CivClassic and Flags left Acadia to establish Eon Empire. Rainie himself was soon after temporarily banned from CivClassic for one month for doxxing an Acadian citizen, though there is some disagreement about whether the doxxing was intentional or not, which he denies.
