Northlandia

Northlandia is a geographical region on CivMC referred to as a "continent", mostly located in the -,- quadrant of the map and composing chiefly of cold biomes.

Geography

Northlandia is predominately made up of cold biomes, made up of vast mountainous and inhospitable snow plains, it does however in the southern coastal areas have more fertile and temperate biomes.

The Northlandic Ocean is to the East of Northlandia and the Northlandic Sea ("Sneed Sea" to Western Continent friends) to the South West.

Within Northlandia is the polar North Pole, which is a popular destination for explorers who leave messages next to an explorers shack for those who are brave enough to make the polar expedition. Nearby the north pole is a polar village which is home to S4NTA and St Nicks workshop.

Northlandia Discord

The Northlandia discord is a neutral non-political forum representing all nations on Northlandia, any political views made within are of the person and not of the continent as a whole. Roles are awarded to all nations on request. It is technically owned by Princess__Bow of Winterbourne, however she encourages any established leader of a nation on Northlandia to request administration rights if they have shown to be a constructive member of the forum.

Politics

Northlandia is a region primarily composed of sovereign nations, along with several dependent territories that are controlled by other nations, situated in the southern part of the continent. It has been the theatre of numerous military conflicts, most notably the Finite War and a special military operation know locally as the Battle of Waterbourne.

Conflicts

The Battle of Waterbourne

The Battle of Waterbourne was conducted in the Northlandic Ocean as a military operation initiated by Icenia and coordinated by the SEC, along with other non-SEC nations, most notably Yoahtl. The objective was to counter a group known as Kibblestan, which had established an island base in the Northlandic Ocean, off the coast of Winterbourne.

Despite initial suspicions of complicity, Her Majesty the Princess Bow of Winterbourne swiftly clarified that Winterbourne was in no way involved in any nefarious activity and remained a neutral party throughout the conflict.

Nonetheless, the conflict did spill over into Winterbourne at times, with both the SEC and Kibblestan establishing military infrastructure in various locations within its borders. The Royal House of Winterbourne expressed its dissatisfaction with this development and requested that all military operations be conducted outside of the specific area of the Crown Estate of Winterbourne. This request was respected by both sides throughout the conflict.

While both the SEC and Kibblestan initially had group access to Winterbourne Castle and the Crown Estate, access was later removed from both as a precaution to prevent the castle from becoming a theatre of war.
