Kaprediem (former alt: Ping_Lacson) or Kap is a player and CivWiki contributor who founded three iterations of Lambat, in CivClassic 2.0, CivRev, and CivMC. He served as the first President of Lambat from January 13 to September 1, 2021, and again from November 23 to the present. In CivRev, he acted as Captain General of the State of Lambat. He currently serves as Lambat's king in CivMC, after its transition to monarchy, but has been on indefinite leave since January 18, 2024.

He held several government positions, such as the inaugural Mayor of Lambat City. Kaprediem was a resident of Mount September[1] in staggered intervals, until CivClassic's demise on December 18, 2021. Kaprediem is also the founder of three establishments: The Lambat Post, Lambat's first newspaper; Citizens' Action Party (CAP), the Republic of Lambat's ruling centrist and liberal party during its existence, and Deltamart, a retail chain.

Kaprediem should not be confused with Capri or Caprisun.

Presidency in Lambat (January 13 to August 31, 2021)

On January 13, 2021, Kaprediem joined CivClassic and established the Free State of Lambat. Proclaiming himself as President, he ruled for 22 days until he dissolved the country. He went on a hiatus for one week, after ceding Lambat's territories to Cortesia Del Mar.

Kaprediem restored Lambat on February 13 as the Republic of Lambat. In May 2021, he was elected as the first Mayor of Lambat City.

Kaprediem announced his resignation as president on August 26, 2021, taking effect come September, serving a total of 231 days in office since Lambat's establishment. He was succeeded by Vice President ArtificialDriver.[2] He also renounced his residency in Mount September on the same day, consequently relinquishing his right to vote and participate in its elections.

Post-Presidency

The retired President focused on building projects in Lambat City and expanding Deltamart's operations.

Second presidency and end of the server

Almost three months after his resignation, Kaprediem announced his intent to run for president in the upcoming November 2021 elections.[3] He won by a majority against CommradePotatoe. On the day of the inauguration, Kaprediem was assassinated by Gabonese FKA_Twink.[4] He continued to live for another three weeks.

Several months after the end of CivClassic 2.0, Kaprediem returned to the Civ scene in CivMC, reestablishing Lambat once again as its president. He also continued work on The Lambat Post. Kaprediem was later assassinated again, this time by Ez2Clutch, while shopping in CivMarket.

During the Lambatan Civil War in January 2022, Kaprediem was pearled for the first time by Banyough.

He would later go on soft retirement due to personal circumstances, only logging in a few times a month to spend time in Lambat's underdeveloped territories. Eventually, on January 18, 2024, Kaprediem announced that he would take an indefinite leave from his Presidential duties, and appointed SamBonusG as Lambat's first Prime Minister. SamBonusG would later resign; he was replaced by TikraiNiGedvilas.

Once a committed republican, Kaprediem would later proclaim himself King of Lambat.

Other servers

Civ

CivRealms 2.0

In contrast to his playstyle in CivClassics, Kaprediem lives as a nomad in CivRealms. He started playing in the server three weeks after joining CivClassics and has logged on sporadically whenever the main Civ server is down for maintenance. It took Kaprediem seven months of random spawning before finding a suitable location to settle. He lived in a roofless shack in Norlund.

Ascentius

Kaprediem attempted to establish a small nation called Rio Verde in the Ascentius server, later abandoned.

CivRev, CivRedemption, and CivReign

In the CivRev server, Kaprediem founded the Principality of Narra. He later established a nation called Lambat in the same server. Meanwhile in CivRev 2.0, he made Rizalia, a one-man nation. In CivRedemption, he joined Banyough's nation, called Catyough. Finally, in CivReign, Kaprediem attempted to establish a city-state called Rose Bay, which was joined by Topher3001, shortly before the server's closure.

All of these nations are considered abandoned due to inactivity.

Outside Civ 'canon'

Kaprediem occasionally plays in non-Civ servers such as EarthpolMC and DemocracyCraft.

Political positions

Citizenship and nationality

Kaprediem identifies as a Lambat national and has strong patriotic tendencies. During a temporary hiatus and departure from the Lambat discord server, Kaprediem did not have any citizenship on the basis of an Executive Order promulgated during his term. Therefore, he referred to himself as a stateless person. He later regained his citizenship after rejoining Lambat. He did not consider himself as a citizen of Mount September due to the lack of a legal distinction between a Septemberian national and citizen. Nonetheless, he actively participates in Mount September's discord. Late in CivClassic 2.0, he acquired Lusitan and Icenian citizenship.

In CivMC, Kaprediem retained his citizenships in Lambat and Lusitania, and is a non-participating citizen in Mount Augusta.

Ideology

Kaprediem is a self-identified liberal, while often getting "centrist" results in political compass quizzes taken by other players in the server.

Religion

While a committed secularist, Kap professes multiple faiths. He is the founder of the civic Amogus religion in Lambat, a patron of the Church of Coppron, and an anointed 'Angel' in the cult of Topherism.

  • Ping_Lacson is named after Panfilo "Ping" Lacson Sr., a Filipino senator, former police chief, and two-time Presidential aspirant. Lacson lost in both elections.
