History
CivMarket was a politically neutral, international trading city in CivMC. It was located at the coordinates x-2300, z-0. The nation was founded by Jaydon and Kicky as a subsidiary of Solitude Corp, and it published its territorial claims on June 9th. CivMarket was notable for its vibrant economy, featuring the server's first iron/diamond-exchange as well as businesses selling a wide variety of products including obsidian, beacons, experience points (xp), bastions, and map-art.
On December 23rd, The Monument Group, a prominent organization in the server, acquired CivMarket. However, on January 28th, 2023, director Jaydon announced CivMarket's closure. Following the announcement, the neighboring nation of Estalia seized CivMarket's territory.
Legacy
Following the closure of CivMarket, the territory was taken over by Estalia, and the business operations were succeeded by the CivMarket Exchange. The impact of CivMarket on the CivMC server was significant, with the nation's history and economic influence especially during the early weeks of the server.
