The Newfriend Development Initiative is a military and economic alliance started by Partyland. It was originally called SUS and was considered no more than a meme. However after reception from newfriend nations regarding the alliance, the heads of the alliance decided to use it as an opportunity to build up and protect newfriends. After a majority vote, the name was changed to NDI. After Partyland dissolved on the 17th november 2021 Äggland and Buckeye was the only original members.

Structure

Present

The NDI is set up with two chambers, filled with the leaders of the nations within the alliance. The Administrative chamber is the Upper Chamber, and is made up of more established and experienced players and nations in the alliance. Qualification for the Administrative chamber is being a semi-developed nation and the leader(s) being on the server for at least 5 months. The Lower Chamber consists of the rest of the nation leaders

The structure is to help bring in more experienced nations and give them more decision making power in the alliance, along with providing Newfriend nations ability to grow both as a nation and as diplomatically.

Past

The NDI used to have a single chamber where every leader had an equal voice. As time went on this became a problem as more experienced leaders were often overshadowed by newfriends, who composed a larger portion of the chamber. After a proposal from Valencia was met with general agreement the NDI had adopted its present structure.

Infrastructure

The NDI has a joint controlled territory called the NDI hub. The NDI also has a capital building in Buckeye, where embassies and alliance politics center.

SUSsy Line

The SUSsy line is an under construction rail line that will connect the member nations of NDI. The rail will allow the alliance to be better connected economically, and allow the nations to more easily support each other despite being located far away from one another. Despite the name being based on the old name for the alliance, it wasn't changed because everyone liked the name too much.
