Principality of Anisso

The Principality of Anisso is a sovereign state in southwestern Alenarith, bordered to the north by the Vennish Republic, and to the west by the Meridiem Sea. Anisso includes their main territory south of Venne, divided into Lunashire and Gallaibh-shire, and Árvashire, north of Venne and to the west of SymStead, Doom City. The Principality is ruled by szepess.

History

Origins

Szepess would initially settle in Godhaven, north of Ohio, on his own property in Ardair Cottage. After a few weeks, he would immigrate to southern Alenarith to establish a new homeland for himself and to initially to become a State of the Imperial Federation.

Following the announcement of the new settlement by Szepess to TheJmqn, it was thought that Anisso would be admitted as a territory of the Imperial Federation. This would be rejected by the Senate of the Imperial Federation, and would leave Anisso either independent or abandoned. There was talks of vassalage elsewhere, but voxkai, who would assume the role of de facto Minister-President became very pro-independence. The Principality of Anisso was then declared by Prince Szepess as an independent state.

Gallaibh Ministry

Following the creation of the Principality, Szepess would draft and enforce into law the Statute of Fairegealach, which would outline a parliamentary monarchy. A rail was created to Venne in these early days, and following its completion, Voxkai was bestowed the title of Countess of Gallaibh, a new county in the far east of the nation.

On 25 May, 2024, Wintanceaster, the capital, was renamed to Sasso.

Following the establishment of the nation, claims on Venne were discussed in the government, as the nation was perceived as dead. When the claims of Venne were announced, many people, including Voxkai, the Minister-President and Head of Government who agreed to the annexation, begun to defend Venne and request that the claims be denounced. They were, although Szepess dismissed the Gallaibh Ministry and dissolved the First Diet of Anisso, with Szepess assuming full control of the nation. Furthermore, Voxkai's lands were confiscated, with the title of Count of Gallaibh being returned to the Crown.

Crimson Ministry

The Second Diet of Anisso was opened on 26 May, 2024, with 3 members, which voted for Crimson_Celak to become the new Minister-President of Anisso. During this time, construction on the Mastio di Tarcheo (Tarcheo Keep) begun, which would become an official seat of government, with chambers for both Houses of the Diet.

On the week of 9 June, Crimson_Celak would take a week-long hiatus for personal reasons, leaving the Prince to deputise for him. During this time, the Prince would do work in Thanatos and Yuan. On 11 June, the two ATS member states, Anisso and the Papacy, would meet in New Vatican to discuss formal borders between the two nations in southern Alenarith, as to avoid any future conflicts, especially with the Papacy being Catholic and Anisso belonging to the Church of Cannabis. Treaty talks would begin, and would see the border of Anisso and the Papacy be set to Fiume Pacio (Flumen Pacium in Latin).

In the early hours of 13 June, Prince Szepess was informed of the Iris Covenant, which overlapped with several claims in Alenarith, including those created in the Tretay of New Vatican. Szepess then messaged Iris Covenant citizen, Cosmic6118. Things would quickly escalate, with ATS members being prepared for war, although negotiations began with PhysicsGamer as mediator. These talks would see several offers and also several points where war was threatened by Anisso, although PhyiscsGamer would eventually come up with a solution. Szepess was pushing for all of the land west of the Hatváros River, including the island which Iris Covenant Settlement Fort Hwak was located. PhysicsGamer would propose a condominium of the island, which would be named the Condominium of Hwak-Castragno. This would be accepted by both parties, and would establish cooperation between the two nations. A treaty was then drafted, and will be signed in Aika Novella, on 15 June. This would also recognize the Anissite Claim in Alenarith to the Hatváros River, except Hwak-Castragno, which would act as part of the Temporal Empire.

On 15 June, 2024, His Holiness, SML128, opted to become a County of Anisso following the arrival of the Iris Covenant, resettling to San Pietro, and signing the Treaty of San Pietro which established the Holy See as a County of Anisso with special rights as a county. The Holy See was allowed to retain its Catholic Faith, although the Church of Cannabis remained as the de jure state religion of the realm.

The Diet and Politics

Statute of Fairegealach

The Statute of Fairegealach (Statuo di Fairegealach) was signed on the night of the founding of Anisso, and established the groundwork for a unitary parliamentary constitutional monarchy. It created the Diet of Anisso, whose seats would be determined (until Anisso could hold elections) as to who showed up to the State Opening of the Diet.

First Diet of Anisso

On 12 May, 2024, the First Opening of the Diet was held in Villa Fairegealach. With only voxkai being present, voxkai was granted a seat in the House of Lords and became Minister-President.

Second Diet of Anisso

On 26 May, 2024, the First Diet of Anisso was dissolved following the dismissal of voxkai's Government. The State Opening of the Diet took place on 27 May, 2024, also in Villa Fairegealach. Crimson_Celak was invited to form a government following a vote in the House of Deputies.
