The Gensokyo Conspiracies were a series of interconnected conflicts characterized by aggression and conspiracy by members of the Alenarith nation Gensokyo against several other nations on CivMC. It was notable for including all three Japanese-themed nations on the map.

    History

Western Boundary (xtasy) - Gensokyo (dyl) Incident

The leadership of Gensokyo put out a POS on Western Boundary senator xtasy, due to two messages he sent to Gensokyojin player dyl, causing them to quit.

MrJoCrafter attempts to get Topaz to retract the threat on xtasy.

SinjoroJoCrafter of Western Boundary attempted diplomacy with the Gensokyo leadership, making the broad case that the two messages, one of which read "ur fat and ugly" and the other which read "you never learned to control your emotions", did not rise to the level of anything that could be considered harassment, and also that Dyl had a history of overreacting violently to trivial slights (read: the infamous Funko Pop Incident).

Topaz did not want to hear Jo's diplomatic arguments, however, insisting "I'm not [willing to budge on this issue]".

This lead to heightened tensions between the two Touhou-themed nations, and also to Gensokyo fighter Ferro sending a compilation of screenshots[1] including minor insults Jo made as well as refrences to conduct that got Ferro banned on CivClassic. Despite the protected speech and mild nature of the comments themselves, MrJoCrafter was banned from CivMC for two weeks.

    Battle of West Tenseimiya Plains

Saren Solaris, a Naran samurai, was searching for a bunker belonging to the notorious raider Vah, who had raided all over the world, especially in Alenarith. He walked a few dozen blocks inside the borders of Gensokyo, which he had been told he was not allowed to do by Topaz. He was asked to leave by Topaz and began to do so, but almost immediately two Gensokyojin fighters, Asuramaru and Ferro, descended upon Saren, giving chase. Saren ran for around 300 more blocks (within Naran territory) but eventually turned around to face the two fighters attempting to pearl him.

Gensokyo leadership and others plot to 'do crime' against Saren, among others.

Saren quickly turned the tables on his assailants, however, pearling both Gensokyojin fighters.

Saren afterwards revealed leaked correspondences between Gensokyo leadership as well as others[2] to plot "to assemble a list of people to do crime against" (in GenericLaqey's words). This proved that the attack on Saren was premeditated.

Additionally, Topaz later stated she would not budge on pearling Saren, due to his alleged harassment of Asuramaru.[3]

After pearling the two fighters, and refusing his government's demand to have control over the pearls, Saren set the condition of the freeing of the two pearls as the fighters admitting they were wrong and apologizing to Saren, probably estimating (correctly) that the two fighters would be too prideful to accede to that demand.

Enraged by her and her allies' inability to pearl Saren, Asuramaru doxxed Saren_Solaris in a fit of rage,[4] sending him his exact place of employment with a subtle threat of violence. This caused widespread international condemnation of both Asuramaru and Gensokyo once the doxxing was revealed.[5] Asuramaru was banned from CivMC, presumably permanently.

Bizarrely, Topaz4293 stated, in a post declaring Gensokyo's "hiatus from civmc" that "the [CivMC] admins were not enforcing their rules fairly".
