Hwillotati (HWL), also known as Hwillota, is a small anarchistic town on Vintage Civ. Currently in an undisclosed location, the town is composed of former residents of Merthyr from CivRev and the CCCP from CivClassics 2.0. The current population of the town stands at around 8 residents. While residents primarily speak English amongst themselves, a previously-unused conlang made by AmandaCC supplements their speech. The name of the town is an example of that conlang, with Hwillotata meaning "In between two bodies of water", referencing the two lakes the town is situated between.
History
Hwillotati's origins come from a small settlement built by Pythius and SimpleBastard on January 5, 2022. Consisting entirely of one building made from dirt, hay, and wood, the settlement was unofficially dubbed the Shitshack Commune by Des23. As Des recruited more former Mery to join the settlement, they continued to use the name until the adoption of Hwillota on January 11th, changed to Hwillotati the day after due to it a slightly more accurate name. Over the course of the following week, the settlement gradually moved further and further away from 0,0, seeking to escape the traffic brought by the original location of Pond Scum until settling down permanently on January 10, 2022.
