The Coalition is a treaty made public on the 14th Dec 2019.[1]

The treaty consists of the following:

The Treaty

The Parties to this Treaty declare their desire to live in peace with all peoples and all governments. They are determined to safeguard the freedom and security of their peoples and stability and well-being on Civrealms. They therefore agree to this Treaty of Coalition:

Article 1

The Parties agree to try and settle any international dispute in which they are involved by peaceful means (including through third party arbitration) and to refrain from threat or use of force when possible, especially when other parties in the dispute have not yet threatened or used force. Additionally the act of placing a pearl inside of a vault inside of your claims is considered use of force.

Article 2

The Parties will put ongoing effort into maintaining and developing their individual and collective capacity to resist attack.

Article 3

The land protected under this agreement, or the homesteaded claims consist of any land that: contains either farms or buildings, was posted on a public claims map, and contains no vaults holding pearls within 100m of homesteaded claims.

Article 4

The Parties agree that an armed attack against one or more of them inside of only their homesteaded claims shall be considered an attack against them all, provided that Article 1 has been observed. They agree to respond to such an attack using the most peaceful means possible but including the use of armed force if necessary, to restore and maintain the security of the Coalition.

Article 5

Each Party declares that none of its current international relationships is in conflict with the provisions of this Treaty and agrees not to enter into any international relationships in conflict with this Treaty.

Article 6

The Parties may, by unanimous agreement, invite any other State in a position to further the principles of this Treaty and to contribute to the security of the Coalition to accede to this Treaty. Any State so invited may become a Party to the Treaty by sending an acception of this agreement to any member State. Nations must include in their application an identical version of this treaty signed by their respective government.

Article 7

This Treaty shall be ratified and its provisions carried out by the Parties in accordance with their respective constitutional processes. The instruments of ratification shall be deposited as soon as possible with all member States.

Article 8

Any member's tenure in the coalition will last for 6 months. They may re-apply as if a new nation near the end of their tenure, and the results of their new application will take effect as a new tenure after their first ends.

Article 9

Farms, under this treaty's definition are any plots of arable land suitably developed to produce crops of any nature. Buildings, under this treaty's definition, are any structures built to provide added benefit to the nation building them past just as an empty shell to extend the nation's homesteads. This definition should be considered loose, welcoming to newer players, and be best interpreted as a common, reasonable person would interpret them. It is recommended that if this treaty needs to be called into action, the victimized nation shows exactly what buildings were affected by the aggressor.
