The Conference of Eastern States (CES) is a regional alliance in CivClassic 2.0 comprised of nation states in the +,- and +,+ quadrants. Initially proposed by [[Caledonia]] to [[Cortesia Del Mar]] on May 4th, the alliance is intended "to help grow the smaller nations in the [east] economically and open more communication". Politics and Structure
The [CES Treaty] is generally considered to be "squishy", in that its lacks many automatic enforcement requirements (instead leaving it to CES member states to determine when treaty violations require correction) and makes deliberate use of subjectivity. However, it lays out a clear system of roles:
Alliance Representatives
The job of the Alliance Representative is to
- a) serve as the foremost ambassadors of the alliance to the general public, such as in high-level diplomatic missions and the alliance’s public relations endeavours;
- b) speak on server-wide issues officially on behalf of the alliance with its permission;
- c) field questions about the alliance’s operations from people inside and outside of the alliance;
- d) promulgate alliance policy statements to the general public where necessary; and
- e) administrate the alliance’s official communication platform.

Security Council
The Security council is a
- closed forum within an official alliance communication platform for the discussion of alliance matters which are sensitive by necessity
consisting of all nation leaders and selected additional members ("Security Strategists").
