Founded on July 17th, 2022, the nation was created via a declaration of independence from the nation of Rhode Island.^[1] On August 10th, 2022, the nation annexed Fellowship.^[2] Two weeks later, on August 24th, 2022, Butternut absorbed The Enclave.^[3] The nation is home to The Daily Nut, a state newspaper with Mount Augustan ComradeNick under their employ.

It is currently engaged in The War of Grievances against the Security Enhancement Coalition.
