The Kingdom of Winterbourne is led by Her Majesty the Princess Bow of the Royal House Winterbourne and was geographically in the +,+ quadrant of CivClassic on land West of Odresh under the protectorate of Yoahtl. Since the new world of CivMC it is located in the -,- quadrant on the Northlandia continent and runs the the east coast upto the north pole.
Politics
Winterbourne encompasses a world view of peace and harmony through its demonstrated neutrality and diplomatic missions to other nations by the Royal Princess. It holds historical ties with Yoahtl, Icenia and Jomsviking, it welcomes all across her lands to enjoy its vast wilderness and untouched lands.
Citizenship
Citizenship of Winterbourne is granted by royal decree to those who show respect and kindness to Royal House of Winterbourne.
Citizens of Yoahtl are granted honorary citizenship of Winterbourne as while the House of Winterbourne Act is active, though citizenship of Winterbourne does not automatically guarantee citizenship of Yoahtl, however subjects of the crown shall enjoy expected freedom of travel within Yoahtl without prejudice.
Law and Order
Winterbourne adopts Yoahtl law by voluntary consent and delegates the tasks of legislation, crime and national security to the Yoahtl government under the Winterbourne Peace Declaration and the the House of Winterbourne Act in the Yoahtl legislature in which Yoahtl has a duty to protect The Royal House of Winterbourne. All subjects of the crown of Winterbourne are expected to abide by the laws of Yoahtl as if it were a citizen.
The reigning monarch of Winterbourne does however hold a royal prerogative of creating and enacting law, and meting out punishment by order, though this prerogative has historically rarely been exercised.
THE TREE
THE TREE is a spruce tree and sacred to the Royal House of Winterbourne which it protects and follows. Rituals and sacrifices to THE TREE are made throughout the calendar year for the good fortune of the world. Many nations from all backgrounds have taken part in these rituals around the world to bid them good fortune with THE TREE.
History
Yoahtl Diplomatic Mission
On the 20th September 2021, a diplomatic mission was sent to New Yoahtl City from Winterbourne to deliver a peace declaration and an official banner of House Winterbourne in exchange for free homesteading of the land of West Odresh.
Winterbourne Atol
Winterboure Atol was an island secured near the South Pole of the Civ Rev world allowing it's citizens a place of warmth and comfort to recoup, re-energise and reflect before returning to the mainland. The acquisition of the land so far away from its mainland was an unusual and unprecedented move from the Winterbourne government which may remain an anomaly in its history.
CivMC
Winterbourne in the CivMC world is in the far North encompassing the North Pole and artic seas. An area desolate of life, the people of Winterbourne are of hard stock and make do with little; though do enjoy the privilege of having a special relationship with Yoahtl allowing its citizens to visit and roam in sunnier climates.
Icenian Embassy
On the 11th June 2022 Icenia granted Winterbourne the permission to build an embassy in Icenia City on a prime plot which benefits unobstructed views out to sea and CBT Park, this big gesture of goodwill to the people of Winterbourne has cemented the countries relations. Winterbourne Heights was constructed and stands some 10 stories high, it houses the Winterbourne embassy and high end apartments.
