The Grand Duchy of Bergburg was a ducal nation on CivMC, led by the Grand Duke Zelmisburg.
History
Bergburg was a continuation of the state of the same name on CivRev.
Bergburg was settled on June 4th, 2022, shortly after the release of MC.
Diplomacy shit the bed on June 10th when an attempt to procure a base to dredge seafloor clay resulted in a border dispute with neighboring communists. A murder on the Grand Duke caused a military and diplomatic shitstorm that resulted in Zelmisburg abdicating. Cordoba now controls the area as of 2022.
Geography
Located in the mid +,-. Consists of mountainous regions and lightly-forested flatlands. A river runs through the middle.
Economy
Bergburg was expected to become a leading exporter of the "Three Cs": Clay, Concrete, and Copper.
Bergburg intended on using the "Copper Standard" of currency; Bergburg Copper Marks (Kupferbergburgmarks) were to be the main currency in the Grand Duchy in place of Iron Ingots. This didn't get off the ground.
