The CivClassics Shutdown was an era on CivClassic 2.0 lasting from the 8th - 18th December, 2021.[1] It brought much chaos as nations and individuals alike acted upon their long-held grudges, with many also griefing randomly in an initial nihilistic fervor, including Pearled Harbor. Yet, it would also bring peace in the server's final moments, with many from opposing "sides" of Classics' political landscape bridging the artificial gaps between them and coming together as a whole, recollecting their shared experiences as a community rather than as a collection of fragmented groups. The era concluded with an EOTW event in Gabon hosted by the admins where many people gave speeches.[2][3]
