Treaty of Serenity
The Treaty of Serenity was the May 2020 agreement between the Roman Empire, Arelat, Meridia and Columbia, and concluded the "War of Columbian Aggression" as it was described by the attackers. Columbia was annexed by the Roman Empire in May 2020 following a joint military operation of Roman, Arelati, Meridian forces.
Background and War
Columbia, and old nation from previous iterations, moved to Realms through securing a stretch of coastline from the nation of Moloka. In the following weeks, Columbia conducted itself in means which its neighbors determined to be aggressive. This first emerged during a partition of ICOR land, where the leader of Columbia aggressive in his requests for land. He posted maps over claiming his neighbors and sending plans for a "Gran Columbia". This, compounded with a dispute with the Romans over bastions led to the multilateral decision to invade. A formal declaration of war was posted to the subreddit, and the leader of Columbia was pearled in his bunker. The invasion was controversial, and many countries[1][2] objected to the war, considering there to be insufficient grounds for attack. A guerilla war was waged with some international support, but the Romans called in the help of some members of Savaguard. After a second decisive battle and the pearling of the remaining Columbians, the treaty was signed and the territories were incorporated into the Roman Empire.
