It was founded prior to the launch of [[CivUniverse]], roughly in Early October, Late September 2020. Early CivU Acadia was characterized by a strong independent attitude, a search for partners to settle alongside, and friendly diplomacy with pre-launch juggernauts such as [[Byzantium]], a nation which never saw launch day. Acadia was officially a dominion of [[Javaya]], which affords Acadia significant rights over its internal sovereignty, and limited rights towards foreign affairs, until April 3rd, 2021. Post-launch, Acadia has become known as a newfriend nation, and as such is one of the largest nations on the server. It prides itself on its democracy, freedom, and emphasis on building. Acadia, while lacking many higher tier factories, is still capable of considerable industrial output. Acadia was the largest producer of potatos in the world, and had a fledgling alchohol industry. ▼
