Geography

Mount Augusta is currently located at -6700, 3000 in the -,+ quadrant. Our current claims are as shown here[1] which is located between the Holy Jaded Empire (HJE) in the North, as well as Commonwealth & Albion in the South.

History

Mt. Augusta was originally a city in Civcraft 1.0. It was widely known as one of the most welcoming and friendly cities. It suffered through wars, and theater performances, assassinations and corruption, but at the end of the day the citizens of Mt. Augusta stuck together. Regardless of their ideology, background, or standing, everyone worked together and made their mark on that city.

Mt. Augusta again was born in Civcraft 2.0. It grew into a superpower led by Mayor Prof.

Mt. Augusta 3.0 was marked by intense cooperation. With Njordomir as mayor and aleksey_t as factory manager, we took our position among the shards as a peaceful trade and xp-producing power.

Since the end of Civcraft 3.0, as well as Devoted 3.0, we have moved to Civclassics.

THE TDC CONFLICT

MtA came to a rocky start in civclassics. New mayor Programmc, was determined to keep the city alive and bring the former players from devoted to Civclassics. The city was established on the same island as another nation, TdC. At first the people of TdC were afraid of the new Augustan presence. In past iterations, Mt Augusta was a thriving and sprawling city, and the small nation was worried of annexation and overshadowing by the Augustan territory. However, Mt Augustan mayor, ProgramMC eased these worries, and there was peace for a time. At this time, Mt Augusta was small. The newly reformed nation had trouble bringing back old players. It never reached it's old heights at that location, but did end up becoming a successful town, with a small, but united population. However, tensions with the neighboring TdC began to grow worse. Griefing and murders began to become common to Mt Augusta and TdC. This period was known as the TdC conflict. Eventually, Mt Augusta's population started to die out. TdC asked to annex what was formally Mt Augusta. Program accepted. The conflict came to one final climax, when ProgramMC was briefly pearled for griefing TdC. After this the conflict slowed and stoped, and now Mt Augusta in it's new location, has much better relations with the nation.

MT AUGUSTA RETURNS

With no home and little population, the long living nation seemed to have reached it's end. However, in November 2018, under the leadership of new mayor Ahri and former mayor ProgramMC, Mt Augusta returned, with a new location. This new location exploded into a sprawling city, and is still expanding. It's population boomed, and Mt Augusta has now become one of the highest populated cities on the server. Since then, Mt Augusta's political scene has burst out too. With a record number of voters in the city, and a high amount of political parties and candidates, it is much changed. ProgramMC has since been re-elected as mayor of Mt Augusta

Currently, there are high tensions as the debate between the political parties grows more and more heated, with the three main voting factions being the Constitutionalists, The Worker's Party, and NUP.

Government

The Mount Augustan government consists of a Mayor, 3 Judges, and a Diplomat. Information regarding this can be found in our Constitution[2].

Our current government consists of Mayor ProgramMC and Justices Tvman,Muffinbomb97, and Rakkwal
