Maltovia, officially the People's Republic of Maltovia, is a sovereign independent and developing nation located in the +,+ quadrant, bordered only by Rowa in the north.

History
Founding of Maltovia
Around the middle of June, 2018 dissatisfaction with the political environment of Mount Augusta several grew within some members of the The Worker's Party. This led to the "Declaration of the Revolutionary Wing of the TWP", a document written mainly by Jshatney and FalscherRVN, signed by approximately half of the TWP. This led to several discussions with the leadership and slowly it became apparent that the problems were not fixable as long as the party remained in Mount Augusta. It didn't take long until the plans for a basic nation were constructed and people from the TWP were asked to participate in the newly created discord "Birth of a new Nation", on the 17th June. After a short period of finding the cultural identity, rough government form, claims, etc the idea of the People's Republic of Maltovia was finalized. The legislative, executive and judicative power was first exercised by the transitionary government, which was tasked with the creation of a constitution and a legitimate government.
The Big Territorial Dispute
Even though completely abandoned, the island which now is owned in it's entirety by Maltovia was first owned by the nation of Rowa, though that claim was never to be seen on any claims map, which led to the situation were two nations stated ownership over the entire island. Things were settled by dividing the island, the northern half was owned by Rowa, while the southern half was now owned by Maltovia. During that time early developed on that island started, but it mostly consisted of wheat and oak tree farms. Followed by a short period of calmness, a third group, claiming to be mostly emigrants from Yoahtl came and stated that they wish full ownership over the island and had already begun moving supplies to the island. This complicated situation led to diplomatic talks between said emigrants, Rowa and Maltovia, in which all groups agreed to give the whole island to Maltovia. This has remained as the the status quo til today.
First Legitimate Government
After a series of discussions, on the 7th July of 2018 the transitionary government came to a conclusion on how to structure the government, and thus the new government was formed. The government, now called the "People's Commissariat" made it to their mission to enhance the development of the island, which til this day had been rather slow.

The People's Republic of Maltovia describes itself as a "Socialist One Party State", in which the will of the people is exercised through the state apparatus. The way of achieving this is inspired by the principles of democratic centralism, dictatorship of the proletariat, planned economy and the ideas of ZombieLenin. The governing body, which exercises executive, legislative and judicative powers, is called the "People's Commissariat" and is a council of "commissars", which act as ministers. The power to creative, dissolve, appoint to and remove from ministries is held by the Central Committee of the Worker's Party in Maltovia.
The following commissariats exist in Maltovia, followed by who is currently holding said position.

Since Maltovia has no single leader figure each commissar is equal in his influence, though the most leader-like person for foreign nations would be the Commissar of Foreign Affairs.
Economy
Maltovia follows the principles of a planned economy and socialism, and thus private property is forbidden. In praxis, this means that every citizen of Maltovia is entitled to a maximum of three double chests, which are referred to as their personal property. There are no restrictions on what materials can be stored in these chests.
Architecture
Since the foundation of Maltovia it has been clear that the aesthetic goal will be inspired by real-life historic states such as the soviet union or eastern germany, and thus buildings and infrastructure will be centrally planned and overseen by the state. After numerous discussions a vote has been held on what kind of architecture the people of Maltovia want. Using the vote as a base for decision making the People's Commissariat has declared a "late socialist classicism" as the goal of any buildings. To ensure this the Commissar of Construction is tasked with coordinating the process of designing and erecting the buildings.
Geography
The republic of Maltovia is located on a medium sized island in the +,+ quadrant. The island consists mostly of a relatively flat "plains" biome, however there are small beaches at the coasts. An important thing to note is that the environment, especially the beaches are incredibly treasured in the Maltovian community, mining the sand on the beaches is considered a punishable offense. Since Maltovia is an island there are no direct bordering nations, however the nation of Rowa exists in the north, and is thus considered a neighboring nation.
International Infrastructure
At the moment Maltovia does not have any rail or tunnel connections. However plans with Dithmarschen and Xalta Moro exist. Since Maltovia is an island, travelling via the boat is currently the only way to go.
Culture
ZombieLenism
Due to a high concentration of the followers of ZombieLenin and his principles, the personality cult surrounding him has a striking presence in Maltovia and especially its government.
Weebs
The weebs, similar to the followers of ZombieLenin, exercise power in the governmental body and therefore are deemed as an influental minority group. This is also amplified through the existence of the Unorganised Weeb Union (UWU), a group that originated in Mount Augusta
Religion
Officially, Maltovia is considered a secular nation, however small restrictions on religions do exist. While religious buildings can be permitted by the state, religious advertising is strongly outlawed. The following religious are known to have a know presence in Maltovia.

Representation
The public representation of Maltovia is mostly described in the constitution. The national colors are described as blue (#1A57C6), green (#0BA274), and red (#CD2A41). If only one color may be used, it defaults to the red (#CD2A41).
The flag of Maltovia should consist of three equal stripes colored in the national colors. There are no official limits on the buildings blocks permitted to create a legitimate flag, as history has been proven this to have problematic consequences.[1] [2] however using darker shades of green instead of the lighter, lime versions is recommended, as well as the usage of the lapis lazuli colored variants.
Usually the emblem, a red, five pointed star surrounded by a sheath of wheat, wrapped at the bottom by a ribbon stylized in the national colors, is excluded in ingame representations, thus making the flag look like a simple tricolore.
The official banner of Maltovia portrays the flag vertically, thus the colors are (from left to right) red, green(cactus green), blue(lapis lazuli).
