It was announced on April 9, 2022 by SouthernBloc that an early version of the 2.0 server has been launched publicly, to last for 24 hours, later said to be on for about 2 weeks. <ref>SouthernBloc (April 9 2022) [https://discord.com/channels/927062370352762941/937503678477262908/962497576593150032 so for the next 24 hours, I am going to unwhitelist the test server so I can see any potential issues performance wise from the mod list currently. Keep in mind this is a beta test, and there might be problems. IP: 147.135.65.45:27500]</ref> The server was released in the intention of finding bugs that can be found in the early release of new content being added. The test server contains highly anticipated features such as [[Bastion|bastions]], pack animals, more enemies, new land generation, and a variety of new building blocks and smaller mechanics.

In the current world of the beta you spawn at 0,0 in the very north-western corner of the world in the water. The closest landmass to the spawn point is a small island which as of April 14 2022 has a single homestead with a small overgrown farm to the south of it. The beta world has a small size of exactly 5000 blocks north to south and has every quadrant being absent except the +,+ quadrant, which the entire map is in. There has been a few small camps set up by players that have crossed the oceans and landmasses far from spawn though the server has not had as much popularity as the 1.0 beta three months earlier.

It is likely the current 1.0 map may be reset in the near future after all the previously mentioned content is refined and stable enough to release. Most notably the new world generation which will most definitely need a completely new world map to exist in, unlike the other features mentioned. Once the new map in the future is bug fixed and stable as 2.0, this article will be moved into a new subcategory of this page as 2.0 World History.
