PreciousStones is a server plugin that provides various functions for blocks, but only one such function is used on Civcraft servers: Snitch block. This mod has not been in use since Civcraft 1.0. JukeAlert replaced its features. See the infographic here for differences.

Snitch Block

A Snitch block is used to "snitch" on those that enter a 11m x 11m x 11m cube with the snitch block at the center. All jukeboxes are snitch blocks, which requires a diamond to make.[1]

To place a snitch block, simply place a jukebox and it will automatically record all entry by players into an 11m x 11m x 11m volume and all block-manipulations that said players do inside of that volume.

To view the log of your snitch block, stand within the proximity cuboid of your snitch, or point your cross-hair at the snitch, and type "/ps snitch". Page one of the snitch block's log will be displayed. To view another page type "/ps snitch 2" or "/ps more" and it will show the second page of logs, assuming there is anything to show. If no player has entered the cuboid that your snitch block watches then there will be no log to display, so it will simply not output anything to your chat.

To allow other players to see entry alerts on your snitch blocks, you can use the command "/ps allowall [name]". This will also allow them to pass by your snitches without triggering them. To allow players past an individual snitch, point at the snitch block and type "/ps allow [name]".

To edit the cuboid of the snitch, crouch and punch (empty hand) the snitch block. This will turn on drawing mode. Punching an area around the snitch will define what area it reports on. Currently the drawing cuboid is a little glitchy, so the obsidian and glass you see might not be accurate. When you are finished, punch the snitch block and the boundaries of the proximity area will briefly turn into adminium.

The jukebox is still usable to play music discs.
