Pavia: Difference between revisions

The Principality of Pavia is an elective monarchy, with six Dukes of Pavia making up the Privy Council that convenes to elect the Crown Prince of Pavia through a majority vote. The Crown Prince enjoys a wide breadth of powers domestically and abroad when representing the country on the international stage, with the head of state only being answerable to death whether it be natural or by assassination. Additionally to the Privy Council, all nobility and government members from across Pavia make up the Royal Court to discuss matters of state, diplomacy, and internal affairs.

====Construction of the Town Hall====

The Bureau of Architecture under the leadership of the Duke of Winderemere, Gobblin and the Duke of Vetranio, paagf, would break ground on the Townhall construction site on the 5th of June. Citizens assisted in flattening and terraforming vast tracts of land in preparation for the construction of the townhall. This terraforming was completed the following day and efforts would commence on the bricklaying.

As the blueprints demanded a mammoth amount of materials, a huge logistical effort was organised by the Pavian State with a tree farm being planted next to the construction site, and multiple gathering task lists being handed out to the citizenry. Every citizen played their part in gathering a list spanning a staggering 350 stacks of blocks in the first 5 days of the project. The townhall project would spur on commercial purchasing of blocks, including the purchase of 523 stacks of blocks for 104 diamonds between the state of Valyria and Pavia on the 9th of June, which at its time may have been one of the biggest trade deals to have taken place on the server.

By the 10th of June, the Townhall stood at 9 metres tall, reaching 8% of the planned main-body height. Productivity would speed up rapidly as the logistical efforts ramped up and infrastructure was built to facilitate the collection of more resources, the townhall height stood at 14 metres on the 12th.

By the 15th, a sizable sign wall began growing in the main dome room of the townhall, with the first signs being left by Bloof, Ahrimanne and SandFalls (later Baroness SandFalls). This sign collection of messages from individuals across the server would grow to over 40 signs by the 17th of June as many visited to view the on-going construction.

On the 21st, the townhall construction would reach an impressive of feat of 62 metres tall, with the dome being completed the following day.

The two currently recognized Churches in Pavia are the Church of Sun, Horse and Man, and the Church of t.
