Main article: Annexation of Kū

After the Annexation of Kū by Estalia, Western Boundary, along with its allies in the ILA, signed on to the embargo treaty established by, of all people, Topaz4293 of Gensokyo. However, not feeling this was strong enough of a statement, MrJoCrafter made a now-deleted post railing against Estalia with the general message that no one should have given them a second chance after what they did on CivClassic. He was immediately banned from CivMC for this, speculated but not confirmed to be due to a statement made about Gregy165. AsHe ofremained thebanned endfor of42 Julydays, 2022,while Westerngrinding Boundarycontinued continues to have a moderate activity level despitein the unwilling departure of its religious and military leadermeantime.

Generic War Period
Main article: Estalia-Rhode Island War

Domestic attitudes in the People's Republic of Western Boundary strongly opposed Estalia, but also opposed Rhode Island due to their support of Blockchainistan during the Western Jungle War. As such, the government took several steps to ensure neutrality in the Generic War. They broke off an aliance with the Kingdom of ErrorL, then lead by ZachAttack after the departure of most of its players after the KOEL-Titan Conflict. The government also banned travel from any belligerent nations in the war.

Geography
Forest of Magic
The Forest of Magic is a forested region made almost entirely of dark forests and jungles. It is a religious site maintained by the Great Sage. Further information about it is redacted.

The Crownlands
The Crownlands are several disconnected regions around the Forest of Magic directly administered by the Queen of Makai and the Senate. These areas are where most of the Western Boundary's civilian and industrial infrastructure exists.

National Parks
Fire Island National Park
Formerly Blockchainistan, the Fire Island National Park was part of Western Boundary's initial claims before being unclaimed and then quickly reclaimed after Western Boundary's and allies' victory in the Western Jungle War against Blockchainistan. The island is a historical attraction, and the shells of the former Blockchainistani building(s) are untouched.

Yuyuko Island National Park
The southernmost Western Boundary territory, this region is completely untouched by human settlement and activity.

Other Territories
Land of Frost and Frogs
Main article: CCTT
Formerly the industrial heartland of the CCTT, this region joined Western Boundary after the remaining citizens agreed to annexation after the quitting of Plupsnup.

Hatium Islands
Formerly the one man nation of Hatium, this small farming colony was restored by FuschiaJoCrafter after its original inhabitant fled to the +,+.

Mother's Rosario Island
This island territory is managed by tactical_maid.

Rose Quartz Plaza
Formerly CCTT, this island territory is managed by ThudDead.

Remilia Island
Formerly known as Exile Island, this territory is reserved for a special construction project.

Margatroid Islands
North of the Land of Frost and Frogs, this territory is managed by the Great Sage and home to some SOTW settlements.

Scintil Island
This island is a fort managed by the Great Sage.

Hearn Islands
Notable for being the first land controlled by the People's Republic of Western Boundary, these islands (partially inside the World Border) are managed by the Great Sage and mostly serve as a horse preserve.

Comparison with Gensokyo
Western Boundary is often compared to Gensokyo, and sometimes for good reasons. MrJoCrafter sarcastically referred to Western Boundary as "gensokyo but based" in an early recruiting push, possibly taking a jab at Gensokyo's World Police alignment during CivClassic. But despite jokes being made about it from both sides, the two nations are incredibly dissimilar. Both nations have a Japanese aesthetic and are based on the Touhou Project series, but that's about where the similarities end. Western Boundary is Shintoist (or follows a Shinto-based religion, at least), while Gensokyo is Taoist, and both nations use completely different parts of the vast chasm of Touhou lore. This is (incidentally) reflected by the two nations' positioning on the CivMC map, with Western Boundary at the Southwestern edge and Gensokyo formerly at the Southeastern edge.Western ContinentILA Deluvia
