La Commune d'Athena,or colloquially the Commune, is an anarcho-communist Commune located between Agotep, I.C.O.R. and Amaryllis. As of 28 Oct 2019, there are five citizens in the Commune. The Commune runs on a basic principle of mutual help - ie, one helping another knowing they'll be helped if needed. There is no one in the Commune higher than anyone else. However, the Commune is responsible for such contributions as the League of Imperiled Nations.
History
On 23 Oct 2019, JesstheFish left the Varathian capital of Olendor to create something new, something that would help anyone. To follow this, she went to 2404X, -6160Z and erected an obelisk on the river's shore. Later, she returned and established Fort Eve, then the town's meeting hall. This was the start of the Commune as it steadily began to grow.
The Varathian Commune
There is actually a second Commune d'Athena located in Varathia, near Orlendor. It has a known 5 members, and though they are both affiliated with each other, neither commune has visited the other. It is not an exclave of the main Commune however, and the Commune holds no claim to the land it's on. Neither Commune establishes for the other, but they do stand together and help each other when needed.
