Kizantium

Kizantium, previously known as Rome, was a large city in the -,+ quandrant. It was created many months ago by a small group of people, whose homes still sit in the middle of town as monuments to the founders. The city is uniquely made of sandstone structures (except for the Jungle District), residing near several biomes such as grasslands, jungle, and desert. It hosts a locked nether portal, enchantment room, public farms, among other things.

Kizantium was once the capitol of the Roman Republic, but it is no longer. Throughout Kizantium's history, power over Kizantium has been passed through many hands. At one point, elections for consuls were held. Personfrommars and Wlwanderer were found victorious. After its elections, Kizantium grew at a rapid pace, nearly catching up to their unofficial rival, Columbia. Two new districts were created and many people flocked to Kizantium and its sister town Barnabie Beaches. The Roman Republic was at its peak and many of its citizens were calling for aggressive expansion. Tensions were tight.

Eventually, a religion was founded in Rome known as Peteism. Peteism attracted many followers, which eventually lead to jihads, deaths, and retaliations. This lowered Kizantiums prestige greatly. At one point, many of the citizens of Kizantium lead a protest in Columbia. Originally intended to be a protest at Columbia's lack of faith in Pete, the protest turned into a fight against Columbia's judicial system and life-time imprisonment policy. Ironically, most of the protestors were pearled by Rdhayes and other citizens of Columbia. They were kept in the End for a week. This lead to a great diaspora of Romans to other nations, some creating their own. Chaos broke out in Kizantium, with looting and terrorist attacks happening daily. Consul Personfrommars and DragonBucket created the private Democratic-Theocratic-Petocratic-Communist nation of Constaninople and consul Wlwanderer moved to Bjornstahl (and eventually Saga). Citizen R3kon and general theTNTmaster took over as new consuls of Kizantium and disbanded the Roman Republic.

As leaders, R3kon and theTNTmaster got into two wars, one with Bjornstahl and one with Atmora. This lead to the resignation of theTNTmaster, and eventually R3kon followed; thus the Republic (the current government) was formed with 5 senators having nearly dictoral powers in Kizantium.

Several weeks after the Senate elections the Pumpkin Jacks were given a lead that the griefer/vault robber Kinetic_VVaffle was in Kizantium. The Jacks invaded Kizantium and pearled theTNTmaster and DragonBucket. After being released both left Kizantium and leaving Kizantium with only three citizens left.

A few months passed and The_Torche attempted to rebuild Kizantium and gathered new citizens when the several ex-Romans pearled him. Kizantium was yet again left to die.
