Yoahtl
Yoahtl, pronounced Yo-AH-Til, is an independent state located in the deep +,+ in vast jungles and plains.
Yoahtl is home to the towns of Coronatlan, Cimitlan, and Silacatloc, as well as the abandoned town of Couletlan.
History
Origin
The Empire of Yoahtl was started by immigrants from the Meloncraft server, namingly Quauhtli_Mia, Log414, SpiderString_ and a handful of others. Quauhtli_Mia, a local leader from his faction in Meloncraft, believed the Meloncraft server was coming to a close and sought to colonize a new server for his faction to migrate to. They originally settled on an island in the far south, hoping to avoid detection by the server-at-large. However, a pair of griefers discovered their location and after a hostile discussion waterbombed and snitched the entire town. Quahtli_Mia reached out to Random1001 and The_Hobbyist, who promptly came to help. Both Random and Hobbyist agreed that if Yoahtl was to survive, they would need to move. With that, the fledgling Melonites moved en masse to the deep +,+. Although the plains near World Border initially tempted Quauhtli_Mia, he agreed to seek temporary refuge within Wander. There they met Valehart, one of the leaders of Wander and of the U3P. Valehart settled the young Yoahtlan Melonites on an unclaimed NPC village. Later it was revealed to be within Pellan landclaims but the dispute was dropped. The Yoahtlans quickly went to work founding the city, erecting a plaza, roads, libraries and stone structures throughout the city. Under the guidance of The_Hobbyist the town adopted a direct-democracy charter, later amended to be more in-line with the Athenian city-state than with pure direct democracy. The city continued to attract newfriends and Melonites alike, although the spring of 2015 brought a period of inactivity.
Founding of Coronatlan
After the stripping of his titles and attempts to sell his land, St_Leibowitz was offered an opportunity to leave Gensokyo and come found a town in Yoahtl. This was eagerly accepted by St_Leibowitz, who left Goodsprings and came to Yoahtl.
Members of Goodsprings followed St_Leibowitz, and in mid-2015, the former Goodspringers founded the town of Coronatlan on the far western border of Yoahtl.
Controversies
Tulpa Controversy
Many Melonite Yoahtlans have Tulpas, as brought with them from their previous server. They were generally respectful and quiet about their Tulpas, offering information only when asked by others. (Editor's note: Removed false information.)
Griefing of Aurora
In November of 2015, two Yoahtlans by the names of Fresh_Candy and Mythic_Ice were accompanying Bucky to talks with Nox. During the trip back, the trio stopped in Aurora for the night, agreeing to continue the next day.
The following day, Bucky continued back to Yoahtl alone, leaving Fresh_Candy and Mythic_Ice to return on their own. When the two finally came online, they attacked Aurora, lava griefing and breaking into homes. The two then fled back to Cimitlan, hoping to avoid capture.
The two were eventually captured and denounced by the Yoahtlan Government.
