Zana

During the later months of 2013, a small Democratic Republic known as Zana existed; it was founded by BlueSylvaer, previously known as Smim02, in June 2013 along with DarkSylvaer, Irish_Bacca, polkapu, and Steve64.

The Nation was located at -7250, -8350 and was known as the Autonomous People's Republic of Zana, under the banner of the Empire in late 2015.

When Zana began to expand, it attracted a wide array of personalities: Celoxia, Septemist, and wolfdevon. These individuals were labeled as "radicals" globally.

Zana was truly an example of a democratic society. Septemist, the leader of the National Socialist Party of Zana, was largely responsible for the decline of the nation; he declared war on the neighboring nations of Orion and Haven and allowed for Zana to be marked as a raiding group. Much of the population fled.

Smim02, Celoxia, wolfdevon, Septemist, and others caught in the crossfire all served end time for their crimes.

Hjaltland

Hjaltland Proper was founded in July of 2014. The citizens of Hjaltland found great wealth in mining local iron veins. Some speculate that their will to gather such massive quantities of iron is one of the reasons for an iron price hike in late 2015. Local residents immediately grew obsessed with EXP production and farming for a quick profit.

By September 2014, Hjaltland was known regionally. The people had begun to produce a steady stream of EXP and continued to sell their iron in large quantities. Some notable buyers of said Hjaltland iron included DarkjesusMN, HanTzu, and ProgrammerDan. Not only was the economy thriving, infrastructure was as well. Hjaltland's rail network was one of the most, if not the most, impressive network on the server. With tunnels connecting the proper to local destinations such as Iria, Centauri, and Sunder, Hjaltland appeared on the NEA's interest section. However, the most impressive feats were the Olympia and ISRN tunnels that could yield a journey over an hour long - just for one-way! DarkSylvaer should be recognized here for much of the tunnel digging. Ambitiously digging tunnels for hours on end was his specialty before electing to join the pumpkin market.

Around the same time, Hjaltland was soon invited to join the North East Alliance. Rather condensed at the time, the NEA was known as a solidified league of nations. With the election of BlueSylvaer to NEA Chairperson soon after, Hjaltland experienced staggeringly large amounts of tourism and population. Inspired by the high influx of workers, Hjaltland transformed into an authoritarian socialist government; soon after, it became one of the founding members of the Eastern Bloc. Hjaltland proved to be a great asset in the Eastern Bloc while it was a member. Attending meetings, assisting with EXP infrastructure and cooperation, and producing the Lenning, the official currency of the Eastern Bloc, consumed much of the nation's time.

For a brief period of time, the small Chan nation of Benistan existed North of Hjaltland Proper. Infested with swastikas and racist propaganda, the island was abandoned after fires and griefing consumed it.

After a few months of steady production, Hjaltland soon sought profit in its labor. The Eastern Bloc became a force holding the population of the empire down. In an effort to alleviate pressure from communist policy, Hjaltland departed the Eastern Bloc. This caused a terrible severance of relations for the months to come. Around this time, Hjaltland was also getting closer with Bryn and Sunder. However, after some reports of espionage and mistrust surfaced, Hjaltland-Sunder relations crumbled alongside the ones from the leftist neighbors. This led Hjaltland to completely devalue the Lenning. A few unknown distributors fled to fellowship with doublechests upon doublechests of Lennings. Proceeding to donate them to HexCorp and placing doublechests outside of the New Leningrad Embassy, Hjaltland turned the esteemed post-war Lenning into a capitalist commodity. This series of events triggered a loosening of relations with Bryn as well, although still remaining friendly. Fellowship, Iria, Orion, and Terminus sought diplomatic relations with Hjaltland as well, probably due in part to its new capitalist nature.

Tensions in Olympia began to surmount around the same time Hjaltland left the Eastern Bloc. The late leader, Bizzig, was supported by the Government of Hjaltland along with RogueX7. Bizzig reclaimed the official leadership of Olympia after the city went inactive. However, he has a deep hatred for BlueSylvaer in his mind for taking advantage of the abundant sand resource in the Trotskygrad desert.

Around the early summer of 2015, Iria and Hjaltland began to question merging into one entity: the Corum Federation. OfUnknown, the initiator of such ideas, greatly strengthened Hjaltland-Iria relations during his summer on the server. This idea quickly fell through when BlueSylvaer and wolfeyes391 failed to see eye-to-eye on issues regarding the Federal Socialist Republics conflict with Savion. The two nations plunged in to a cold war.
