Political Theories
Agrarianism
- A political and social philosophy that highly values a rural lifestyle as to an urban lifestyle
Centrism
- A political philosophy that has two opposite ends meet in the middle. Also known as a moderate
Communalism
- A political philosophy that one should identify with their ethnic group rather than a wider society
Cosmopolitanism
- A philosophy that says that all beings belong to a community with shared ideals
Decentralization
- A political philosophy that takes away power from the central government and gives power to lower government
Egalitarianism
- A political and social ideology that says that all humans are equal and deserve equal rights and opportunities
Globalism
- A political philosophy that calls on every nation on the global to cooperate to achieve the best for mankind
Individualism
- A political and social ideology that advocates power to the individual, uninterrupted
Internationalism
- A political philosophy that one nation should interact with other nations
Isolationism
- A political philosophy that advocates for minimal interaction with foreign nations in order to achieve domestic goals
Nationalism
- A political philosophy that bolsters one's patriotism for their country
Pacifism
- A political philosophy that calls for minimal violence to achieve goals
Populism
- A political philosophy that includes every person of society in politics regardless of gender, race, etc
Radicalism
- A political philosophy that takes one ideology and stretches it to its extremes. Typically aggressive and unethical
Separatism
- A political philosophy that divides a group of people from a larger base
Statism
- A political philosophy that the government supreme authority over social and economic policy
