CivReign is a Civ server in the works, whose development was announced publicly on the 12th of November, 2021.[1] CivReign plans to use traditional civ plugins as well as new plugins such as Smeltery, unlike most civ servers of the past it will have a form of whitelisting.

Dev Diary
Unlike most civ servers, Reign has adopted a Paradox-ish approach to dev announcements where (currently) weekly announcements are made updating the community on current events in development.
Descent
After the official end of CivEx, Descent was left without a home, until the suggestion of the Reign staff team led to Kannon contacted Samnrad and EarthComputer about their plugin, eventually leading to the pair officially joining the Reign's team, finishing the final touches on their plugin (Descent was essentially finished by the end of CivEx).
Memes
Without the server even opening, many memes have been made. First, was the meme of the server being the first of it's kind to be primarily funded by child labor, but more commonly known is the meme of CivRegin, a mistyping of CivReign's Patreon by Kannon (see below).
