On August 18th, infighting and irreconcilable differences caused the collapse of the [[Industrial Workers of the World]]. Two factions emerged and they would consist of [[Duckapore]] and [[Bremerhaven]], which would become [[Carbon]] vassals, and the Borealian Socialist Republic, containing a majority of the former [[IWW]] members. The BSR would take much of the IWW's historical claims, most notably its farms and virgin claims, with Bremerhaven taking the settlements of Three Cities, Bremerhaven, and Georgia.

▲One of the major issues with the IWW according to the BSR's founders was that it did not have a proper document listing its ideals. The problem was not that these ideals weren't known to the current IWW members, but that they should be written down so that they would be readily available for new friends joining the nation. Additionally, the IWW had progressed so much technologically and in capability that its original structure was no longer viable in supporting a union of modern socialist states.
