The Alcuahtl is Yoahtl's highest executive official and head of state, and by tradition the Alcuahtl owns Yoahtl's discord server and namelayer groups. The council selects the Alcuahtl amongst the trusted citizens of Yoahtl, generally citizens who have been in Yoahtl for a really long time. Every two months a vote of confidence is held by the council to confirm or reject the Alcuahtl, with the Alcuahtl generally ruling with favor. If there is an egregious violation of law the Alcuahtl can be impeached by the council, and until the seat is refilled, the Deputy Alcuahtl steps in. The current Alcuahtl is [[WackyAki]].

The Deputy Alcuahtl is the Alcuahtl's second in command, filling in when the Alcuahtl is unavailable. Traditionally, the deputy Alcuahtl will serve as the Chieftan of Yoahtl, otherwise the cultural leader of Yoahtl. Most of the relationships between Yoahtl's citizens and government is maintained by the Deputy Alcuahtl, this includes intra-national homesteads and autonomous nations within Yoahtl and the government. In addition to the Alcuahtl, the nation is governed by elected councillors, the number of which varies depending on circumstance. Councillors are citizens periodically elected to their position and hold limited executive authority. The current councillors are Gdan12, Neotidebgbba, Mokotowskie, and YergoMechanicalRift.
