The Workers' Party of Grenada is the ruling party and sole legal political party of the Peoples' Republic of Grenada. It is the leading force within political, military, religious, and civic life within the DPRG. Membership is not mandatory for citizens, however it is mandatory to hold most government positions. Those caught supporting other political parties within the state are subject to being smacked with "The Peoples' Stick".
History
The WPG was founded as the Stros M'Kai Popular Front on September 10th 2022 as the ruling party of Stros M'Kai. It was renamed the Workers' Party of Grenada upon the renaming of the state.
Ideology:
While formerly an advocate for the transition of the IF to a republic the WPG no longer holds this position. Within the IF the party continues to push for permanent nonroyal leadership of King_Cupar. The party is a socialist and communist party that is broadly accepting of new members and works to ensure that all newfriends have enough resources. The party is accepting of those who are actually socialist or communist, those who wish to rp as such, or those who want to take part in the political life on the island. All members are eligible and entitled to a political position within the Grenadian state.
Structure and Activities:
The party is ruled by a 3 member Presidium. The Presidium holds a number of important powers within Grenada including: criminal prosecution, overseeing trials, and constitutional review. The party conducts production of goods and materials for both construction within Grenada as well as throughout the broader IF.
