During the great expansion, the tribesmen from Capitola stumbled upon a group of people in the Southlands known to the Southseasians as the Ma Letens. The tribal council from the capital was sent to meet with the tribal chief [[omokami,]] who presented the delegation led by Lord Hermetic with gifts as a token of good will. The tribe immediately became a part of the UTSS, contributing to its culture and economy. The people of Ma Lete played a role in the early development of the UTSS, especially with their work on the construction of the national railway system, which spans from Ma Lete, to Capitola all the way to Mt.Augusta. The Ma Lete-Capitola Railway continues to be the soul transportation system in the UTSS.
The UTSS rail system is one of the largest national rail systems on the map, spanning from the capital island of Capitola all the way to Mount Augusta. Construction began in September, with much of the excavation being done by Toki Ponan workers. Work on the railway was completed within a few weeks, and became fully operational in October. The railway continues to operate with regular repairs being made monthly. It is considered one of the proudest national achievements of the UTSS. As of May 2023, the railway has been extended to include multiple other cities along its route from Capitola to Mount Augusta.
