Trinacria was a former [[Varathia|Varathian]] settlement that had been the site of many conflicts. Founded by a group under Antreus' leadership, activity dwindled until Varathian authorities declared they would be assuming control over it. This angered Antreus, leading to an attempt at secession and claims to larger and larger swathes of territory which only further escalated tensions. Sometime during and after this a large wall was built around the "capital" and a pit was dug.
Trinacria was a former nation led by /u/Antreus that was the site of many conflicts. The nation began as a [[Varathia|Varathian]] settlement, founded by a group under Antreus' leadership, but soon broke away as an independent nation. Little remains of the nation's activity prior to it's annexation, but it is known to have at one time been a member of the [[League of Imperiled Nations]], indicating that it was considered "small" by the League's standards.

On December 31st, 2019 Trinacria was invaded by [[TWINKIEminer]] who wentsingle-handedly inbroke and busted all of theirmultiple bastions and bunkers over night. 24 hours after the invasion (after thenew bastions had set), a post was made on Discord and Reddit declaring the newly formed nation of Oklahoma Jr. After the annexation of Trinacria, TWINKIEminer ceded all of Trinacria's conflicting claims to the other nations, and recognized [[CivCorp]]'s sovereignty as well, giving them full rights and power to their land. TWINKIEminerwhich was later asked what he was going to do with the land, so he declared it towould eventually become "The[[CivCorp Frontier",City]]. a theme park for all to enjoy that people could build their own rides in, but that unfortunately never came to light.

Despite a small degree of support for the Trinacrian nation, [[Carbon]] intervened, taking a firm and deliberate stance in support of CivCorp's sovereignty, as the partnership between Civcorp and Carbon was one significant to the power of both entities. Bastions of Oklahoma Jr. were switched from under [[TWINKIEminer]] to under [[Carbon]], and later the land was partitioned between [[Carbon]], [[CivCorp]], and [[Varathia]] in a town hall orchestrated by Carbon in an effort to further the annexation's legitimacy.<ref>https://old.reddit.com/r/CivRealms/comments/g0andr/announcing_the_conclusion_of_the_trinacrian_town/</ref> An reddit account known as /u/Trincria_News claimed to represent the "government in exile"<ref>https://old.reddit.com/r/CivRealms/comments/hivmnu/the_trinacrian_government_has_been_officially/fwjd7jb/</ref>, but the movement has failed to gain significant international support. The heartlands of old Trinacria currently belongs to [[Alesia]], a vassal of Carbon, and the government in exile has largely gone quiet.
On Feburary 4th, 2020 Antreus was going "monkey mode" in the CivRealms #politics channel which lasted a few days, igniting arguments with [[CivCorp]] and [[Carbon]] over the land. Antreus (now Antraeus apparently) made a lot of really good points in his arguments as you can see pictured. Inevitably [[Carbon]] got more involved when "Trinactia's Former Government" decided to start going against [[CivCorp|CivCorp's]] sovereignty.
