The siege is considered by NATO to be one of the first significant attempts at an assault by the Mirian forces. As previous engagements have been fought over bunkers.

Small skirmishes broke out at the bottom of the vault, however, majority of the fighting occurred between the Columbian sky bunker and the Mirian skybridge at height limit.
