In June of 2023, SamBonusG voluntarily stepped down from his six-month tenure as top official and mayor of Lambat City, seceding the position to AKJanklin. He cited his drastic focus shift to New Septembrian development, as well as his slowing down into a state of near inactivity due to his oldfriend age, as the reasons for this decision. By July of 2023, he had developed several buildings that became iconic to the Lambat City and New September skylines. This included aesthetic marvels such as Lazuli Tower 2.0 and the New September Voting Tree, as well as the country's first diamond-ore exchange in the Bank of New September.

In August of 2023, Lambat was in the middle of what is becomingbecame known as the "Touching Grass Era". Many key players had started to lull towards inactivity, and as a result the 5th Metro Council Elections wielded less-the-serious victors. The newly elected council failed to come up with a vote for a new mayor of Lambat City, and so SamBonusG volunteered to become mayor once again.

President Kaprediem began to fall victim to the sickness of this dark era of player inactivity, leading to SamBonusG being appointed as acting president in order to fulfill the duties that the original president could no longer do. SamBonusG became the acting president of Lambat for about three months, working to keep the nation alive through the troubling inactivity.

In March of 2024, SamBonusG made an official announcement to his country, stating that he had succumbed to the sickness of The Grass Age and was RP-dying. Two weeks later, he made a post to the CivMC subreddit that had a memoir of his entire Civ experience attached. This marked the official end of his Civ career. He buried himself in a tomb in Pioneer Village, next to Dark Horse Stables, one of the first structures he had built on this iteration of Civ.
