The S.P.Q.R. has always generally been an areligious society, recognizing the traditional Roman pantheon as patrons of the city with various shrines and temples dedicated in their honor, but there is no official state religion.
The earliest settled religion in S.P.Q.R. is the [[Cult Of Saturninus|Cult of Saturninus]], which goes back to the coming of the cave spider. Deemed Saturninus, this gift from Ahrimane on June 18, 2022 was given divine importance and the creature was brought forth from around the area of the oak farms today through the forests, by boat, and into the Temple of Saturn to be set there as an object of wonder. Saturninus the Spider has since gained a cult following boasting several prominent Romans. The spider is considered one of the most sacred objects in all the S.P.Q.R. and is kept under high security.
Early in 2023 another religion emerged, Ancom_ThePolpot acclaimed [[Romanum Tshola]] as the Flamen Tsholalis. This Romanized belief centered around a great creator and sun deity had a very strong if brief burst before subsiding into the background as just another god acknowledged within the Roman Pantheon.
