Pearled Harbor was ultimately triggered by the leak that CivClassic 2.0 was ending finally reaching the leadership of Kallos. Seeing that the EOTW news leaking was already causing substantial consequences, the server owner TealNerd decided to use the last backup from before Pearled Harbor occurred, and used it as the final save of the map for his later project, <nowiki>[[CivLegacy]]</nowiki>.
