The country is a continuation of the previous state of [[Bergburg]] after circumstances led to an exodus from [[Impendia]]: ''The Great Burgtrek''. Neubergburg negotiated a solution to a claims dispute with the Boreal Federation in late October 2022. It also claimed the eastern portion of the former nation of [[Bagalor]] at the same time.
