In Mount September, political parties are not formal in any way and tend to be jokes. Currently, there exists two political parties in MtS:
* Great Oldfriend Party (GOP) - Party that wishes to maintain the so-called "oldfriend regime". The GOP was founded and is led by [[RedDevel]].
* United Coggers Party (UCP) - Single-issue party and voting bloc aiming to restore the MtS Discord server cogboard after it was replaced by the trollboard. The concept of the UCP was created by [[AmandaCC]] and has since recruited many members.
