On December 8, [[Icenia (CivMC)|Icenia]] revealed that they had gained access to Gang Shi's internal communications<ref>https://www.reddit.com/r/CivMC/comments/18dkxm7/pearled_harbor/</ref>, leaking a series of message logs that implicated Gang Shi in a myriad of allegations, such as interfering in the elections of [[Transylvania]] in order to exert pressure on [[Nara]], preparing their military for an attack on Icenia, and signing the non-aggression pact with Yoahtl solely in order to lower their guard for a future invasion.
 
In reaction to these revelations, Yoahtl announced that the non-aggression pact with Gang Shi had been rendered null and void<ref>https://redd.it/18dmwg9</ref>. That same day, Yoahtl and Icenia formed the [[Dawn Guard Pact]], launching a preemptive strike on Black Mesa in Gang Shi and initiating the [[War of the Icenian Coalition]].
