The Siege of Istanbul
On June 13th, 2013, the Siege of Istanbul was started by a unnamed rogue terroristic group called colloquaily 'Tha Bloods'. On the same day, the leader of the Bloods, Aixyz, was captured and pearled in the centre of Istanbul by Kovio. This would begin the Siege of Istanbul.
Background
The Siege of Istanbul lasted for approximatly 16 days, and the city was essentially a constant battle field. After the first few days all of the non military residents had left, been pearled, or had stopped playing. The reason for the attacks was to free Aixyz.
The Siege
For 16 days the group attacked Istanbul, using Guerilla tactics to destroy the moral of the Turks. The first battle which properly showed the use of the Blood's extrodinary geurilla tactics, where the Bloods armed with only 2 men in plain diamond armour managed to single out people one by one, and eventually kill everyone in the town.
During the Siege the town was Lava-Bombed an estimated 3 times, and water bombed another. Many buildings were burnt to ash, and many valuables were lost to the lava.
While the siege was going on, the Bloods occupied the city nearly since the first attack. They had planted snitches in the town to alert them of presence, and were also attacking nearby towns to gain armanents. This tactic is what they would come to master, this geurilla hit and run tactic.
During this time Pretania came to assist the Ottomans numerous times, however when the armies had arrived the Bloods had quickly gotten out of dodge. Then the Pretranians would leave, and the Bloods would come back. This happened numerous times.
Eventually the Bloods got tired of waiting, amassed a large force, and broke the Istanbul vault freeing Aixyz and Sjinsheep.
The Aftermath
Many of the Ottoman residents fled to nearby towns in the Plusplus. The Katars from Kataristan fled to Plusminus and formed the Grundeswald Freestate with other Ottomans.
Due to the inability to stop the attacks on Istanbul, the Bloods now continue to continue their terroristic activities all over the map.
Reactions
One of the Turkish higher ups, Fighterspririt, wrote a very long post blaming Petrania and their 'ineptitude' for the inability to pearl what they thought a few petty griefers.
Following Battle(s)
A week later after the Bloods continued to harass the Plusplus, they came back to waterbomb Istanbul. At this point it was abanonded, and nobody was living there. The Mosque was destroyed, and the entire city was covered in water.
Damages
Many sets of Diamond Armour were lost, the Mosque in Istanbul was completely destroyed, houses were Burnt down, the Ottoman Vault was cracked, and much butthurt was had. </WRAP>
