Quito

Quito is an inactive, small sized State Socialist city in the +/+ region of Civcraft. It was a founding member of the CSC along with Proletarskaya and Prosperity, and recently was a protectorate of Proletarskaya in the now-inactive RSSR. It follows a South American colonial style of architecture.

History

Quito predates the apocalypse of Civcraft v1. The citizens planned on making a South American colonial city for quite some time prior to the apocalypse. Once it happened, it gave the residents the chance to make a great looking new city. Planned mostly by Millerman, Quito was designed to follow a strict plan as to be as aesthetically pleasing as possible.

Quito was made as a founding member of the Civcraft Socialist Coalition, a group of socialist cities of varying types. The concept of the CSC was a group of cities who would work together, but maintain their independence.

Due to some drama which caused a member to be undemocratically expelled from the CSC and Quito's founder to quit the game, Quito fell into inactivty. The CSC was dissolved, as Proletarskaya killed Quito with it's actions in the CSC, and reformed Quito into being a district of the RSSR, a protectorate of Proletarskaya instead of an independant nation as it was in the CSC.

Landmarks and Surroundings

Quito is in a valley of an extreme hills biome, near its mouth onto a river. The buildings of the city are built into the sides of the hills, along along the main street. It has several expansive potato farms.

Economy

Currently none, as the city is inactive.

Originally planned to be Market Socialist, the citizens later decided to go with State Syndicalism as Market Socialism was inachievable with such a small population. During the time it was a protectorate of the now also inactive RSSR, it's economy revolved around supplying Proletarskaya, although this was minimal as it only had a fraction of the members it had during the CSC era.
