History
Originally founded as a Claytican autonomous district when Claytican was first starting out, the Lehmdorfers helped make Claytican City what it is today. cris1133, its leader, redesigned Claytican City and a number of its buildings, and the Lehmdorfers helped get the materials to do so.
Landmarks and Surroundings
Lehmdorf is part of the "Cluster" which includes itself, Claytican City, and Cyprus. The most commonly visited landmark in Lehmdorf is the Church Tower, which cris1133 always exclaims is climbable.
Economy
A socialist economy based on labor and not goods. Most of the labor is white collar and people make a living off being news reporters, office workers, and analysts. It has a seperate schism outside of a regular social-market economy, its socialist and collectivist sector.
Government
Lehmdorf's government is very hands-on, and does whatever it needs to do to get the job done. Even though it has a strong regulatory structure, it is not a top-down government, voting occurs by each citizen. Visitors are often mystified when they have the rare opportunity to witness a democratic trial.
Idiosyncrasies
Lehmdorf is a completely planned city, built mostly by its leader.
Most of Lehmdorf's residents wear dyed leather uniforms which always consist of brown pants and dark-brown shoes and a tunic varying in color:
- VIP/Assistant - Blue Tunic
- Farmer - White Tunic
- Miner - Orange Tunic, Orange Helmet
- Claytican Clergy - All clothing purple, no helmet
- "White Robes"/ New Residents / No Social Niche / Capitalist - All white clothing
People recently convicted of a crime have to wear all-black clothing for a certain amount of time.
All Lehmdorfers must have a diamond sword in their chest at all times only to be used if the city is invaded.
Lehmdorf's Flag is the Swiss Flag.
Even trials are done by referendum, from verdict to sentencing.
Lehmdorf is one of the few cities to offer an asylum program.
Lehmdorf gives all perspective residents a tour for free, even people passing by the area are offered a tour.
Lehmdorf is one of the few cities to offer a vacationing program.
Architecture
Lehmdorf's Architecture is dominated by brick, stone-brick, and stone slabs. It makes use of upside-down stairs for overhangs which sometimes double as balconies. Windows in Lehmdorf are big, stone slabs are used normally as window framing. It is a mix of Swiss, Italian, German and Modernist Architecture. Normally, flooring is birch plank flooring and ceilings are made with clay blocks. Red-dyed wool is normally used as "paint". Most Lehmdorfers take note that if you look South-East in the City, the palette of exteriors reverses to Stone Brick walls and Brick roofing.
