Founding
Griffin was founded on September, 20th, 2013 by FGR leader Endergun. It then established its official status as a city to Carbon to gain recognition and later on to pavel_the_hitman on the transport map.
Etymology
The Griffin is a mythical flying animal in aincent lore. The name was chosen to mimic the capital of Arizona's name, Phoenix, as it is also a mythical bird-like creature.
