City of Aytos
Aytos is a city in the (-,-) quadrant of Civcraft 2.0. It includes the similarly named Aytos Island, and the surrounding area. Aytos is the spiritual successor of Tigerstaden.

History
Aytos was founded in July 2013, in response to a post by pavel_the_hitman on /r/Tigerstaden. Pavel's post suggested that former members of 1.0's city of Tigerstaden gather together and found a new city as a spiritual successor to Tigerstaden.
About 10 former Tigerstadians joined in this endeavor, choosing a site with easy rail and sea access for trade with nearby established civilizations.
Soon after Aytos's founding, the Clonefriend Deluge began. Aytos welcomed these new immigrants, and the population of the city nearly doubled within a two week period.
Aytos's Constitution and first laws were drafted by Provisional Mayor MadeofMeat under the auspices of the Aytos Social Democrat Party (SDP). Running on a campaign of government-assisted job creation and pro-business city land policies, the SDP was swept into a 4/5 majority of the Aytos First Parliament.
Around December, there was a vote for which parties would be in parliament, and who the mayor would be. The vote only allowed citizens to vote for kovio and his party, the Sable League. As a result, Aytos began to decline, and eventually become abandoned. Remaining Aytians were able to migrate to a specific area in Grundeswald for them. However, that also fell. After that, founder MadeofMeat decided to try to revive the city. Many previous citizens came back to the island. Aytos is still in this revival process, and it is rising back up very well.
Landmarks and Surroundings
Aytos is on a plains biome island about 600 chunks in size. Several outlying minor islands and a large landmass west of the city are also claimed as Aytian territories.
The Yellow Line of the Carson Rail passes through Aytos Island, connecting Aytos with Carson to the south and with Orion nearby to the north.
Economy
Aytos's major industries are farming and ranching, mining, forestry, construction, XP manufacture, and retailing.
Located on the Carson Yellow Line, Aytos is an active trader with cities including Orion, Carson, and the Commonwealth. In spite of its small size, Aytos' market district easily rivals neaby Orion's for variety and quantity of goods traded.
Aytos's government is interventionist and pro-business, with policies designed to enhance Aytos's attractiveness to investors, industrialists, and traders. Immigration is encouraged, and the city government has formed partnerships with leading private citizens in sponsoring a high-paying jobs program for new immigrant farm workers and grinder operators.
