Arym

History

Arym's history begins as far back as Late July, when Lio fell.

The Abandonment Of Lio

Many of the founders of Arym held government positions in Lio, so they were naturally all friends with each other. Lio fell due to lower members not contributing (Lio was a Socialist town, so it was necessary for every member to contribute). Some citizens did not like the changes that the BOE was instituting, and complained after the changes were made rather than during the planning process. An argument broke out, people left, Zoltan got compared to Hitler, and Lio dissolved.

Nova Vita

After Lio dissolved, Zoltan, Shadow, Siri, and Weatherdog traveled to CommonWealth, hoping to start a bourough. This bourough was called "Nova Vita", Latin for "New Life". But the pioneers were not content. They missed being in charge, and felt that the CommonWealth wasn't what they were looking for. So the pioneers set off again to find an area to live at.

Searching For A New Home

The settlers set off, searching for a suitable area for their town. Zoltan and Walrus searched the +,+, while Siriann and Shadow searched the -,+. They all agreed on one thing however: The settlement had to be near as many different biomes as possible, since this proved effective for Carson when it came to farming and producing XP. Finally, after over a week of searching, the settlers found their home: A forest island in the mid -,+, with Plains, Desert, Mushroom, and Jungle all within 2K of it.

The Beginnings Of Arym

The settlers quickly got to work, building rail lines to all their farming destinations and setting up factories and houses. They agreed to keep the city private until it was ready and stable enough to become public. After some brainstorming, they decided on "Arym" as the name.

The Public Works Era (Present Day)

Arym is in an era of Public Works, many members are digging new rail lines to different farms, while others are setting up factories for the city. Walrus has built a library with a working Printing Press. L0stman is heading the XP production, proudly producing 90 Emerald Blocks a day. Zoltan is leading the rail line digging, with the help of many other members. Almost all citizens help defend the CommonWealth and Lio from griefers, traveling over 4K blocks to defend their allies.

Arym has many different areas and settlements. Here are some:

Arym Proper

Arym Proper is located on a large forest island. Arym Island spans about 1000 blocks long and 500 blocks wide, making it quite large. Arym Proper is home to many of the founding members houses, a library, many farms of all different kinds, and a statue of a Lion. Arym Proper was the first area to be settled in Mid August of 2013. Arym Proper has a public station on the RBL.

Whyte Kompound

The Whyte Kompound is a large compound, spanning about 200 blocks long and 100 blocks wide. Founded and built by Zoltan, this compound houses the Zymid, 4

large connecting pathways, 4 large farming quadrants, and a 5 block tall netherbrick and stone wall. The WhyteKompound is home to many close friends, Zoltan, Overdragon, CivPap, Oxmores, and Jingus. Whyte Kompound has a private station on the RBL.

Hidden Candy

Hidden Candy is a farming settlement located close to Arym Island. Candy has a private station on the RBL.

Fish N Chips

Fish N Cips is a farming settlment close to the Whyte Kompound. Fish N Chips has a private station on the RBL.

UpDog

UpDog is a farming settlement. UpDog has a private station on the RBL.

Economy

Arym's economy doesn't hold true to any one economic stance. There are many different economic values that Arym holds, and its citizens can hold, too. The only thing Arym asks is that you don't become nationalist to these values. This means that you are not fanatic about your values, and that you acknowledge the strengths and weaknesses of your value.

Trade

Arym has many trade partners. These partners inlcude, but are not limited to: CommonWealth, Arran, and Carson. Arym trades almost daily with these settlements.

Royal Blue Line

Headed by Zoltan and WalrusManatee, the RBL is a large rail line network, currently spanning 4K. The RBL has very big ambitions, with hopes to get rails to Invicta, Arran, RavenPort, CommonWealth, and even Carbon. The RBL HQ is located in Arym Proper, with over 5 different stops so far.

Whyte Power Industries

Whyte Power Industries specializes in everything from XP to golden Carrots. Founded by CivPap and Zoltan, the WPI produces good of all kinds, from XP blocks to golden Carrots, from ghast tears to slime balls. Along with WPI producing XP, the WPI also is one of Arym's largest defense organizations.

Arym XP Corporation (AXC)

The AXC is a prestige XP producing corporation, founded and headed by L0stman. The AXC has many employees, pumping out 100+ Emerald blocks a day. Using teamwork, perseverance, and some Arym engineering, the AXC can easily reach this goal.

Coder and voice of reason for the Arymians. Co-Founder of Arym, L0st is respected and loved by all.

Siriann

Former leader of Lio, and Co-Founder of Arym, Siriann is a driving political force in Arym.

Emotionless_Bob

Tex. He's more emotionless than his name suggests, but is a wealthy and supportive member of the Arym project. Founder of the ObbBlob.

Zoltan

Founder of the WhyteKompound, and Zoltanism, Zoltan is a whiny 12 year old with an AquaMan skin.

Overdragon

Co-Founder of the WhyteKompound, a veteran at PvP and racism, Overdragon rests in the hearts of all Arymians. RIP OD.

ShadowSniper

His mind is even more complex than his name. Along with being one of the best PvPers of Arym, Shadow is a avid political player of Arym.

Weatherdog

Former leader of the BOE, the corrupt and evil Lio building organization, Weatherdog is driving political and builder player of Arym. Everyone still highly anticipates when he is gimmicked, and WeatherCat can finally join Arym's ranks.

WalrusManatee

Neither a Walrus nor a Manatee, Walrus makes his presence known, with frequent "Lel"s and his shiny gold armor.

CivPaparazzi

Head detective and police chief of Arym, CivPap's true identity is shrouded in mystery and suspense. Co-Founder of WhyteKompound.

Jingus

Plays a lot of League. Co-Founder of WhyteKompound.

Zoombit

L0stman's servant. Likes Pumpkins.

Dilluexe

Griefer-turned bounty hunter, Dilluexe is the newest edition to the Arym team. He enjoys long walks on the beach, as well as the occasional vault break. Member of Whyte Kompound.

After getting lost in a portal to a strange place called "Real life" Tina has joined Civcraft once again, this time with Arym.
