The State of Fortytwo is the southwesternmost province of the Kingdom of Grundeswald. As an autonomous state under Grundeswegian sovereignty, Fortytwo exercises complete autonomy and authority over its territory and its own citizens, though the Fortytwo Development Enterprise that is nominally responsible for its governance is partially owned by the Crown. In practice, however, the FDE exerts little control over the State of Fortytwo, and it is happily under constitutional government.
History
Establishment
While the City of 42 itself was founded quite early in the history of 2.0, the State of Fortytwo is a comparatively new political development. During early March, the Kingdom of Grundeswald was undergoing massive territorial revisions, and on 9 March, the State of Fortytwo received its constitution from its new Lord Proprietor.
The Nazi Incident
Around the first week of July, a group of nazis from 4chan's /pol/ came to Civcraft from the 4craft server, and ended up settling in 42. At first, they were tentatively welcomed, and an agreement was reached to share power with their leader, Devonus, in the form of Articles 2.7 and 2.8 of the Basic Law. However, it was quickly revealed that most of the new settlers were fucking idiots, and after being told that they were not welcome within Fortytwo, the state was once again with few inhabitants, and so, peace was quickly restored.
